"Honky" is my favourite Melvins album of all time. The band really seem to focus on sound, making new, interesting sounds, as opposed to making the structure of the songs the basis. There are some very ambient/atmospheric type tracks on this album (they all must be slaughtered, harry lauders... , grin, pitfalls..., air breather...), melvins rock tracks (mombius hibachi and the extremely fuzzy lovely butterfly, in the freaktose...)and some quirky stuff as well(how--++--, laughing with lucifer...). Of course, the melvins defy easy classification, especially with this album. All the tracks seem to fit together perfectly, which is weird, because they are all so different, but there isn't a feeling of this album being 'disjointed' (like houdini, stag to a small extent). Anyway i'm rambling, but I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!!
