At one time there was a live Melvins video, I'm trying to find it, does anybody know where I can find it? E-mail me if anybody has any info, I'd appreciate it, I also have the Melvins double disc cd, it has Lexicon Devil and stuff on it, well some bastage stole my first disc out of it, so I'm trying to find that album too, I'm a freakin mess yo! eventhough it might have been a little while ago, Stoner Witch and Stag remain two of my of personal favs

no, it's not AT ALL like lysol. Lysol had 4 kick ass songs that totally ruled.

Colossus has 50 minutes of noise and one song (eye flys) that doesn't even sound all that good. I've heard better live recordings from amateur recorders (and I don't mean that as an insult to people who tape shows).

I can't really tell if I'm disappointed with this album yet... Adam Jones's influence is nearly nonexistant (anyone who has seen the melvins live has heard this kind of noise before) but it does capture the live feeling well and the frequencies on this disc fuck with my head, but yeah 60 minutes with only like 6 minutes of actual music, and its just a version of eye flys... I guess this is another one for all of us who bought prick.

As much as I love noise and Melvins type bullshit this time the noise was actually boring, if the next thing they release ( which is supposed to be a full-length album ) is trash, I won't hate them but I will most definately loose faith in them.
My guess AND I'M PROBABLY RIGHT, is that all these kind of noise, ambient, and electronic albums they released lately are just warm up's all bands warm up with songs and throw them out, The melvins put them ALL on display,
in other words I'm expecting their full-length to be "stag" quality with a newer feel for electronic and ambient. I suppose they are trying to just get the hang of it right now.

I think Some Other Fag Like You got it all right. They're just in some new 'thing' and they're exploring it like hell. Let them search, let them play, that's their way to go. They did that before you know; Prick was a joke, Houdini was different, Honky was different and now we've got Elctroretard. A 'cheap' album which fits in their policy. The same for the Colossus album. (would you like to miss all of this?) And 'yes', it does make sense! This is the ultimate 'journey' to another STAG. We're not talking here about music only, 'developping' and 'life' are the keywords. It's too easy to sit back and relax. Stick to this boys and you'll get paid alot, meanwhile...enjoy your travel!
