i was watching a very good documentary last night on PBS about the Sun Studio in Memphis. It was all these Sun artists sittin around a table talkin shit like they were in a gangster movie and then they'd switch over to a modern-day pop artist to (attempt to) cover an elvis or johnny cash song.

so they had kid rock with a bunch of other knuckles covering some old dudes song on stage
and i swear-
king buzzo was on guitar!
nobody else's got hair like dat!

is this true?

ps: of course i saw jim morrison dancing around the audience in another clip, but i know he's been livin in memphis for the past five years or so now.
