The Seattle show was amazing!!!! I was right up front by Buzzo. The crowd was nice and aggro. Drummer of local band Argonaut was cracking me up! He wasn't taking any shit off of this drunk idiot with a camera.
It seemed like everything from HAT was played. The highlight for me was Anti-Vermin Seed. Fucking great. Very good show.
As for Dead Low Tide...I just don't get those guys. I think Mike Kunka has lost his focus.
The Melvins envisioned and executed.

Wow. I've seen them a bunch of times at this point, but last night's performance was pretty incredible. I think they did everything off HAT. Also, am I the only one who didn't realize that the solo in the middle of Dr Geek is Kevin on bass? Anyway, another great show.

This show was a Tour de Force, a monster, personnally, I think the band was making a statement. Like Hello, we are still here and Rocking real hard. The showbox is a perfect venue. It's a spacious WW2 era "Ballroom" capacity at least a thousand, maybe a couple hundred more, and just a beautiful, well run place, With a killer sound system. I walked into this show wondering if maybe I was over the Melvins, at least please god, make Buzzo quit trying to sing. Well its amazing what a good sound system and competent people running it can do, Buzzo wouldn't stop singing and it was great, he made the effort to be understood and we heard, There was alotta love in the Room and Buzzo and the boys delivered a searing version of the new cd. They are sooo good.
