You can e-mail me using my e-mail web form Or you can talk to me on: AIM my screen name is visualnoises(used often) ICQ my uin is 25333439(used sparingly) My name is Brian Eberlein and I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota of the United States of America. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa where I studied Film and Computer Science. The Melvins are without a doubt my favorite band, I thank them with this website for all the great music they've created over the years. My main interests are film, computers, music, philosophy/culture theory, and that which encompasses all of the above: revolutionary policies/politics. I am a filmmaker and have many works, I may share a few at some point via the internet, upon doing so I will make that knowledge available here. I write a lot, I have an online journal located at themelvins.net/brian but have been working on more long term projects that have taken me away from this mode of output over the recent months. I use the linux operating system, i prefer the Debian GNU/Linux distribution, although I'm beginning to explore other distro's which are totally free as understood by the gnu standards put forth by a hero of mine Richard Stallman. I program in C++, Perl, and Java as well as a helping of other languages that I'm at a beginners level with. Something I've been getting into recently by way of making this website is PHP, which stands for PHP: Hypertext Processor which is a recursive acronym! I collect melvins bootlegs sort of, a list of the ones I have is located here. I have some favorite filmmakers, in no particular order some of my favorites are David Lynch, Jean-Luc Godard, Werner Herzog, Luis Buñuel, Abel Ferrara, John Cassavetes, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Stan Brakhage, Terrance Malick, Michael Haneke, Andrei Tarkovsky, and Stanley Kubrick. I play guitar and bass, I've been in
a couple bands in my time as well which was very fun, we played shows
and wrote our own material. I currently make mostly 'ambient noise'which more often than not is to be used in conjunction with visual material I have created. Thanks for visiting my website, please buy Melvins music. |
