Title: Dogs and Cattle Prods
Post by: GrimReaper on March 08, 2014, 05:31:41 AM
This has turned into one of my favorite songs. 8 plus minutes of pure genius. I love the way it recreates itself several times at the end. I have no idea about a meaning, but I think I hear Hey Hey Carol several times. :D

Anyone come up with lyrics?

I agree, this song is the craziest!!! Would love to hear Buzz do ab acoustic version of it! More realistically, I'd love to see AmRep do a 10" of it.

I'm looking forward to more acoustic/ electric stuff like this on future releases. They nailed it. It's like the un-Dave Matthews!

It's a brilliant song. Buzz's vocals are ridiculously catchy and the way the song unfolds and becomes something else is very cool.

Sounds much like mid 90s era corrosion of Conformity.

Tracks with multiple changeups are usually growers for me - takes a minute to sink in, but that's what I love about them. This one has slowly turned into what is probably my favorite on the record.

The melvins Are THE VERY best at being able to play the same thing in an infinite combination of  mutated ways and styles making it impossible to know whats what.

This song gives to you an incredibly diverse variation on the main theme, I mean in the KEY of E, its incredible how far beyond this band can stretch and bend and manipulate even the most Straightforward of pads.

Taking something that is already stripped right to the core,  basically like bending a prime number and breaking it down into infinitly more intricate and complex little peices.

the acoustic  changeover at the end is DEFINETLY Buzzo doing a warm up for the current solo tour for sure.

Hey BS, That pic of crover,...behind him on the wall looks like the Skull from the band picture in the Sacred Reich album liner sleeve!
