Melvins Album Discussion / Re: The Bulls & The Bees

Only just listened to that The Bulls & The Bees again last week it kills me, greatness on that EP.
Curiously, (or not!) i find Bulls & Bees to be overrated in the Melvins catalog. Many fans here seem to really love this EP - i've seen some people hold it up as one of the best things they've EVER put out! Personally i don't hear that at all. I just think it's okay. 'We Are Doomed' is a really good song but the rest just doesn't really strike me very much. Although i do wish it was a full length album rather than an EP.

same here

it doesn't seem like BB will be rejoining the Melvins anytime soon.
I feel that has run it's course now. No disrespect intended but i don't want them back in Melvins. Well, not in a recording sense anyway. I want the band to move on with Steven and see what that brings. Although i do think it would be cool for just Coady to appear onstage with them occasionally.

Yeah I know it's pretty much done when it was said Jared was taking maternity leave from the Melvins I knew it was over

yeah,it seems that was the end for the Melvins/BB line up, even though i saw them in Europe around 2015

Currently listening to the LOVE disk and actually, despite what i have said previously, really quite enjoying it. It's good background music when and where you don't focus too much upon it. Except 'Scooba', hate that one!
Scooba is the single best moment on that disc. don't be a square.

sounds like you guys have similar opinions
