First time I saw them was in 1985.  I couldn't even begin to count.....

I ordered mine off of Rough Trade today.  It is Vinyl, and it is Melvins, I could not help myself.  I am torn between my undying love of this band and "the right thing to do".  I already bought the CD and comic book if that helps any......

Melvins Discussion / Bonnaroo Live performance
« on: June 24, 2010, 02:50:02 PM »
I ran across this link to the live show they did at Bonnaroo this year.  IF everyone already knows about this I am sorry I searched the boards and did not see this mentioned yet.  I admit I may have missed it if it was..... anyway...

Sounds pretty damn good too.

I am betting this record has a Martin Denny / Arthur Lyman feel.  Exotic jungle sounds.

Melvins Discussion / Re: Another Melvins 12" - NWB outtakes?

I just got word that mine came today.  About 10 days from order to recieve so that is not so bad.....

This only proves that the only opinion that matters when it comes to music is one's own.  To call Chicken Switch their best record is to say Turbo is Judas Priests' best record.

Did anyone snag that Quiznos watch?

Dang I meant to!  Nothing says cool like a Quizno's watch.........Everyone would be jealous of me.

No confirmation yet but my order status switched from paid to shipped when I checked it this morning.

Vinyl does not sound as good as it should on digital stereo systems.  It sounds better on the early ones from the '80's when vinyl was still a mainstay format.  A good amount of systems made in the '90's after the "CD Revolution" do not have the guts for vinyl and clicks and pops are more prevelant than they should be.

But get an old analog '70's system and vinyl sounds bad ass.  The best thing is these are the systems you can find in thrift stores and flea markets for cheap that people don't want anymore but work fine.  I prefer vinyl over CD myself.

I took the 7 inch releases and made them into a CD so I have the original HAT release and the deluxe 7 inch version as well.  I love that record.

Now that I know! Cuz i have the HAT credits memorized. It's in my top 3

Dude, you have far too much time on your hands......

I didn't even think to look at the other items for sale.  The Quizno's watch is a classic.

Melvins Discussion / Re: what Melvins songs can you play?
« on: February 02, 2010, 12:56:30 PM »
I can play Shit Storm on the banjo.

What's up with this watch?  I have never heard of it or seen it before.  Either it is new merch for the next tour or it is a cheap bootleg knock off.  I am leaning toward cheap bootleg knock off.
