Ok, I'm losing my mind. What's the first song the two of them play at the beginning of the clip? It feels like I'm forgetting my own middle name.

Is your wife's name Peggy or Gordon? I ask without judgment of course.

I think PGx3 is one of the best things the band has ever done.

Good read. Thanks, Jules

This singer ruined these covers.

With that monotone voice singer might be a stretch.
Consider the source of the material. Was Ozzy some great singer?

On the six Sabbath albums I own? Yes, he was.

I have to applaud the choice to cover a song like that as opposed to that shit-on-my-shoe, moss-on-my-roof, coolant-in-my-oil, Joni-fucking-Mitchell cover of Hooch that was posted earlier in the week.

I had no idea how ignorant I was about this stuff. 220V seems to be common! You could have an oven beside your bed?? Holy shit, I'd be so fat.

A regular electrical outlet is 220V? Really?

I've talked to Toshi a couple times at shows. Really nice guy.

The fact that his studio is Sound of Silence in a Japanese accent is fucking hilarious.

Melvins Discussion / Re: 10 Albums that made Buzz
« on: April 17, 2018, 06:52:47 PM »
That really is a good list. I'd like another one as I have to assume there's Funkadelic and Beefheart on it. And I've always wondered what Buzz thinks about Monk, the greatest musician ever.

More of a Trane man myself, but can't go wrong with Monk.

Yeah, it's no accident that Coltrane has plenty of space on my shelf. He blows me away. I think it might be the percussive nature of the piano that I'm thinking of. When Dale plays Eye Flys and it sounds like the drums are falling down the stairs - rhythmically! - I always think of Monk. In fact, I'd honestly go so far as to say that if the Melvins don't like Monk there's something fundamentally wrong with the world. It really wouldn't make any musical sense.
