Huh, I never heard of this one before, either, but the good news is that a few of 'em are being sold by peeps via discogs, so there are a few to go around!

Oh, I wouldn't blame Ipecac in this situation. I know some folks who work for various other labels, and there has been a lot of general furloughing in a lot of those places; sometimes scaled down to one or maybe two peeps who have to weed through it all. I reckon they're doing what they can. I just get anxious at times, but what can one do? These are crazy times.

No. They apparently don't give a shit if we get it remotely close to the release date. They printed the shipping label for my copy a week ago but that's about it.

That's good news! I received an e-mail yesterday stating that my copy has been dispatched, although there was no mention of a digital download. I do get some decent mileage out of those downloads, as we do a fair amount of traveling, but I'll still rock the vinyl proper when it shows up.

Actually got an email yesterday with the digital download.  I’m waiting to hear it on vinyl for my first full listen.  At last check it’s in Seattle this morning so I’ll probably get it by Monday at the latest

Seems like the best place to read it would be in the outhouse, since Sears doesn't print catalogs anymore....

I'm beginning to feel better that I missed out on snagging the Bangers record when it came out, except for a cheapy CD which was included in a bundle I bought at the Melvins last trip through Portland. Honestly, I doubt if Shitkid would have ever appeared on my radar, had it not been for the "the old men" involved. So crucify me, already - no wait.... what is that dumb-ass term the kids like to use these days? Oh yeah, "cancel". What the fuck ever....  :P

Oh sure, that makes sense. I keep forgetting not to get my hopes up when I get a notification telling me that something has been shipped.
Typically, what that *really* means, is that they printed out the label, and it will sit there until their mail delivery day, when it actually makes it to the Post Office.
I'm still being optimistic, though, that I will actually get to hear this record before 2021!

Ah, that gives me hope; if another Oregon resident was notified, then hopefully I will hear something soon as well!

from the nextmosh review:
Pitchfork succinctly dubbed the collection “a refreshing breath of unplugged f**k-it-all folk.”

Wow. Two lazy reviews in one.
Buzz should really punch both them right in the mush.

Yeah, but hey, I think we've all learned the eBay drill by now....

you place your bid.....

...and in the last 3 seconds of the auction, someone shoots a snipe bid, so no one has a chance to counter-bid.

Point being, if I'm I'm going to bid, I might as well wait 'til the very last second, and have a whomping bid ready to throw down.

HAT 7x7"s vinyl, low starting price

Holy frig That's a LOW starting bid, anyone who isn't going to bid on that is a total imbecile!

RE: Gift Of Sacrifice LP

Seeing this thread pop up again got me to checking the order I placed with Ipecac EU on April 17th.
The initial release date was given as May 15 when i placed the order in April.
Ipecac is currently showing the release date as August 14.
I reckon when I placed the order, I expected there might be *some* kind of delay, given the state of the world this year.
It's a bit weird though, hearing that some folks seem to have copies already, if the release date was pushed back....

E-mail / Order Confirmation (April 17):
Gift Of Sacrifice Hot Pink Vinyl (Ltd Edition) (LP) (released on 2020-05-15)
"Your order will be shipped via International Standard (Untracked).
This is a standard delivery method so you will not receive a tracking number upon dispatch."

Online / Ipecac (July 25):
"Your order will be shipped in time for it's release date on 14th August"

???? I'm confused, sorry...
I don't have anything to post, I was asking if anyone who had some of those shows which were posted earlier, could post them again, since I missed almost all of them....

Post whatever one you want, I should be able to upload one/day, possibly.

Zoiks!! I think I had blinders on or something when I was wandering around these parts previously....

Just discovered this little corner of heaven in time to download #18, from Chicago, which I'll be cranking in the garage shortly.

I reckon it's way too late to beg for much of the earlier stuff that was posted, but at the very least, I'd be way into hearing this one:

Milwaukee April 16, 2000

I dunno... any of the others that might be required listening?

Thanks in advance to anyone involved in the taping and sharing of these shows!!

Melvins Discussion / Re: King Buzzo Tour Dates and Roll Call
« on: July 18, 2020, 09:11:01 AM »
I was reminded of this post just yesterday, after watching a 2-1/2 hour Guided By Voices concert that was a variation on this idea. The band performed a live concert in an empty venue, beautifully shot and mixed, and sold tickets through a site called NoonChorus.com
If you purchased a ticket, you had access to the show, with continuous streaming for 96 hours after the initial stream. Also, ticket purchase price includes an audio download of the entire concert. I'm crossing my fingers they'll make the video available as well, but no mention of that at this time. From what I gather on the band's message board, there were virtual tailgate parties galore in every time zone, and after-parties via Zoom, into the wee hours. Links were available so that one could purchase a ticket from a specific link associated with a specific venue in a specific town, which meant that 20% of that ticket purchase would be donated to that specific venue. And of course, there were links to the virtual merch table.

Anyway, Melvins / Buzz could probably do a similar thing, and I'll bet fans would happily shell out to support the band / venue, and give the finger to youtube at the same time, since all Google exists for is to try and track users' habits and mine personal data. And if you want to make it just like a real concert, just have a friend stand in front of your computer screen / TV monitor, and you can try and peer around their head to see the show!

Imagine this. I actually don’t think I’d mind it! I‘d be able to see over heads and wouldn’t have to fight to get up front.

Perfect for Melvins viewing. Looks like a blast
