My ear melted off from the Napalm.
The Melvins were tight as usual, good set, choice of songs.
Merch was pretty much out.

I'm guessing Paul will be present, anyone else?  I checked out the setlist, looks cool, but god I was really wishing they's be covering some of the Sausages tracks, especially Station To Station, that would be over the top.  Looking forward to Mudhoney and Honky as well.

Melvins Discussion / (the) Melvins @ the 2007 Festival international - Victoriaville

Just got word from my newsletter that the Melvins will be playing in Victoriaville the weekend of May 17th/18th - don't know which night yet.  Four years ago they were up there w/ the Big Band - a friend was able to make it up there for the show.
I'm looking into this one, but it seems unlikely for various reasons at this point - but I'm not 100% sure.  But also playing at the festivial are these few notable mentions:  Anthony Braxton (2 shows!)- John Zorn - Acid Mothers Gong - Merzbow - Keiji Haino ; to mention a few.
So who's making the trip??

Does anyone know or have ever asked the mighty Melvins or closely related musicians (Patton, Preston, etc.) if they ever check out what's being discussed in this forum?  Or... do you think they are just entirely above this Internet scene?  I think if I was them I would pop in for laughs and maybe set up a username just to fuck with people about what they may think they know.   But then again I'm NOT one of the Mighty Melvins.

for me it would have to be "pick it n' flick it"  -  this one just plainly sucks.  It's like buzz trying to do an eddie van halen riff that is very smiliar to eruption, which is the last thing this world needs.  very strange.

another,  I hate the intro to "it's shoved" off of alive @ the F*cker Club.  It is the one about the phone call to his mom about being in australia.  come on buzz....
