Melvins Discussion / Nude with Boots CD artwork
« on: July 07, 2008, 09:34:32 AM »
The art on back (front) of the CD has a nude person wearing boots. I think this is the first CD in the Mackie era (and in fact probably since Ozma) where the art has something to do with the title of the CD.

Just a heads up if you are looking for a copy >

I have seen these for much more elsewhere ($200+ for used hard cover editions on Amazon for example).  I am glad I got my copy when it was first released...

From the Planet Loud interview...
Planet Loud - Do you like travel by plane?
The Melvins - I hate flying. It's the only industry that takes your money and then doesn't have to deliver

Planet Loud - Which do you prefer

"Down the road look for releases from Einar Orn (Sugarcubes), Melvins (a new "Houdini"?), other goodies including....... Peeping Tom! It is looking like mid 2006 for the long awaited Patton project."

I want Pigs of the Roman Empire NOW!!!

Seriously... does any one know the actual release date? Brian's post on his site says August 10, while says August 24...

Also, I like this quote:
Not since their legendary LYSOL record have the Melvins created something this listener friendly. Severely modern...

Melvins Discussion / Melvins and artsy fartsy crap
« on: March 30, 2004, 09:48:21 AM »
I just got my book and it is a phenomenal thing for a band to produce - the Melvins must really love their fans.  :? Right?

Anyway, an interesting thing to me is how all those arty folks write about the Melvins.... I mean; I just thought they played good music. I didn't know Melvins were a force in the pretentious artsy fartsy world? Who'd a thunk it?
