BTW: I remember having to go stand in line at the local Hudsons store to get tickets for a show.  if it was a big one you would get there at 9 am and there would be 200 people already in line.

Ah, the good old days.  I remember going there at like 5am to get Dead tickets one time.  I hate getting tickets online because of the bullshit "convenience" fees.  $1.20 is crazy low.  I want to say it's like $13.50 in fees for a show at the Showbox.  Luckily I can go to their box office on my lunch hour and buy tix w/out fees.

I'll only go to a big arena show if someone asks me.  Then I let them deal with getting tickets.

the Detroit show is at Third Man Records.  it's not exactly a typical venue.  it's a small record store with an even smaller stage in the back.  I think it's like 200 capacity.   there will be no refreshments.  there will be no alcoholic beverages served.  it's an almost awkward venue that would be more suited for an afternoon show. tickets purchased directly at the third man website.   I'm guessing that's why the service fees are so low.    either way I think it's pretty stinking cool to be seeing Buzzo and T Dunn in basically a room.

Capacity at the place they're playing here looks to be around 400, which isn't too bad.  Never seen a show there, but it's 100 years old and supposedly "the best sounding room in Seattle".  Really looking forward to it.

You'll never get a refund on a flight.  They'll let you change the ticket for like $100 though.

Is this a film or something? Looks awesome...LOL...where's Moss been hiding these days?

It's a short, animated DVD + a CD.  It was done by Dalek and Haze and the soundtrack released on Ipecac.  If I remember correctly, Buzz did the liner notes.

PS, Ritchie Goodtimes hates Glen

I've never listened to any BS

A lot of people who say this will then be like 'ooohhhh, theeeese guys' when I play them either "Pepper" or "Who Was in My Room Last Night"

the two single worst examples of Butthole Surfers songs IMO.

I have a soft spot for IWS.  Yeah, it's more "accessible" than earlier stuff, but it still has enough weirdness in parts that I consider it the last necessary BHS release.

You should probably just get everything up to and including Independent Worm Saloon.  Get a couple tabs of acid and some really good headphones, then prepare for the awakening.

That was ace.  Thanks for sharing.

Of course has to mention they were more into Black Flag than Black Sabbath so people don't go thinking they were ripping off Black Sabbath when they built their sound

Based on their early stuff, I don't see how one could see more Sabbath than BF in their sound.

I'm coming to town on the 13th.  Wish it could have worked out like The Jesus Lizard.
