I question the motives of the human shit taking glee from virtue signaling about it, given that they can’t point to anything Buzz actually said. I saw the interview. Pretty much the same things he’s said in many others. And it’s well before the guy got de-personed. Are we going to haul out the pitchforks for people Gavin used to actually be friends with like David Cross?

This is authoritarian morality policing.

He has called Thomas Sowell the 'greatest philosopher'. Sowell just tweeted out that racism only exists bc politicians are using it to get votes (only an extremely sheltered person could believe that). Sowell -and back we are to science- has also said some insanely ignorant shit about climate change.

He really should stay in his lane and just discuss music and other creative pursuits, and the music business. He has plenty of non-ignorant things to say about them.

What are your credentials to preach against a black economist in his 80s about race relations? Maybe you should read a few of his books with an open mind. They're very easy to read. He's an economist that uses stats to illustrate his arguments, and he's seen a lot more than you.

You should stay in your lane and just stick to playing Xbox in your mom's basement.

is this a recent post?

Seriously? This guy is still grinding about this 28 years later, when he did get paid?

This guy MIGHT be a dick...

hmmmm, they're way too different. AmRep can be a massacre when it comes to vinyls:

- high prices,
- no digital download card included, let alone the option to download a digital version after placing an order,
- and sold out in less than five minutes.

I saw a record store on instagram posting some of the recent limited vinyl for resale at $400-500 a pop, so the prices Amrep charges are a straight up bargain.

I stopped reading MRR eons ago after coming across a column by one of the writers journaling his pedophilic exploits. Aside from their asinine rules about “what is punk” that was pretty shocking.

In retrospect, at least 80% of what they covered was total shit.

that drawing seems pretty darn tame compared to their instagram and some of  their other record covers.

Is it possible this is just a publicity stunt?

Melvins Discussion / Re: how many times have you seen melvins live?
« on: September 17, 2019, 08:31:52 PM »
I think around 45 times. First saw them in 94. I'm too lazy to list all the shows but they were all great.

someone spent money to make this?

Good for melvins.  Bigger audience.  Bigger paychecks.
I am way to grumpy for the new glossy melvins.  Sabbath cover?  What next? My money is on a Rolling Stones cover lp.
Dad rock rules.

This might be the dumbest comment ever posted on this message board. The dumb is self evident. No need to explain the dumb. So dumb it may just be trolling.

the sense of entitlement in this thread blows me away.

These kinds of limited edition vinyl things wouldn't exist if most people didn't steal music. I doubt Joyful Noise could afford to do these things without the subscription model. No one is trying to screw anyone over.

I'm just happy that the Melvins can continue to keep recording and playing live. I can't imagine trying to make a living from music these days.
