Bigger audience.  Bigger paychecks., you should toss that opinion out during the next Melvins show at the Aquarium in Fargo North Dakota. While they are loading their own equipment up in rented vans hoping to make it to Souix Falls in time to get some sleep at the next Motel 8. It’s cool to have an opinion...I’m glad you are at least talking about the melvins. Just try and make the shit you sling a little more well thought out. Put them down proper!! Make the shit talk funny!!

5 out of 5. Fucking awesome, this album rocks!

Fucking right it does!!! It reminded me why the melvins are the band to end all bands.

great post!

I really wish HAT would get some play these days. 'The Fool, the Meddling Idiot' and 'The Brain Center at Whipples' are two of my all-time favorite Melvins tracks, and 'The Anti-Vermin Seed' is amazing too. Even 'Little Judas Chongo' would be great. that tour was incredible, some of my favorite shows, they were absolutely crushing with Kevin during that period.

Yeah, man. 07/03/2002 Minneapolis 1st Ave was my first Melvins show therefore I'm a tad biased.... Anything from HAT!!!!

Ordered and the new Lanegan "Houston".

Off topic:

North Dakota, Indiana and Kentucky are the only States I haven't visited. I might have been in Kentucky at the Cincinnati Airport, can't remember.

That Lanegan album is really good.

i'll be at the fargo show in a couple weeks or so. psyched!!

I live in Bismarck and I'm skipping the Fargo show in favor of the Grumpy's Minneapolis show. I saw the Melvins Lite play Fargo and it's a great place to see a show for sure. The Grumpy's show will be in the City Club side of Grupmy's which only holds 70 people! And so far there is no opener!

Had a blast at this show! Sold out crowd at the Top Hat...which is a cool little venue. Tweak Bird was amazing as always and I'm digging the new material a lot. Glad they had the new EP available. Speaking of went flying off the table tonight. There is no way they will have much left after a few more shows if they don't restock. Assholes walking around with STACKS of the letterpress issues. Happy to have snagged the Electro Retard. Melvins set list was pretty much the same. I really love their new take on a History of Drunks! Just wow! Captain Pugent and Berthas were very much appreciated...well, all of it was appreciated. Show number ten for me. Fargo next!!

stoner witch and gluey porch treatments one morning before breakfast sometime in mid 2001

Regarding your subject.  I shot the shit with Toshi for quite some time before a Big Biz show once...he was a little drunk and talked quite excitedly about buying children's toys (e.g. kids electric keyboards etc..) and circuit bending them.  Explained that he helped create a lot of the strange sounds you hear on HAT and POTRE using these toys.  Also discussed how difficult it is to circuit bend some of these things and the complex math used to create sound from these devices to translate to his computer.  I really didn't have any good questions to ask him as I know close to nothing about it.  My advise, talk to Toshi.  I think if the chance is right he could talk your ear off.  He's quite the affable guy!
