Sorry Melvins.  I don't care much for the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath cover.  I've never been a fan of Al's monotone.  Maybe the track will grow on me...

No one has mentioned anything from Three Men and a Baby.  Maybe since it's not a "proper" Melvins release..?

Anyway, Pinkus and Steve could alternate vocals on Chicken 'n' Dump and Read The Label (It's Chili).  That would be awesome.

Like he was directing them.  That was funny.

Complete show is up on Facebook
Steve turned up in his pajamas?

Haha. It was actually a "suit." The t-shirt he wore under it said Punk Rock in glittery letters.

A lot of people are hating on Break Bread. However, after I was able to get past the repeated "Break Bread" lines at the beginning, it's actually a good classic rock-style song. I'm liking it more and more.

Flamboyant Duck now stuck in my head
It is Dale that sings that one right? I can't really tell if it's Dale or Steve. Same goes for on 'Embrace The Rub' too.

Flamboyant Duck is definitely Dale. It sounds like it could have been recorded during his solo sessions.

What times have the shows been?

Doors at 1830, done by 2145.  Can the Mohawk not make noise after 2200?

How long did All Souls play?

Hou-stoned the doors are at 1900, that is pushing it for me from work to get up there in time.

Did you make it to the Houston show?

I did, it was pretty awesome.  The heavy parts were heavy.  The groovy parts were groovy.  I was hard to stand the crushing weight of the first two song, Let It All Be was the best, and Eye Flys was tolerable.  Two thumbs up.

It was my first time to hear Let It All Be in their set.  Awesome.

I liked how Dale stood up during The Bit intro.

Jeff and Steve screwed up the bass parts on the last song, Eye Flys. It was unexpected.

damn, really?

Not a big deal. I thought it was cool, actually. Being early in the tour. I was like, "Melvins made a mistake??!"  Haha

Did you catch Suckling and WATA?

The only opener was All Souls.

I didn't stick around for the bands on the inside stage. I had a 2-hour drive in front of me!

Great show. Having two bassists was overkill, but oh well. It was good to see Pinkus again.

Setlist was the same as the one someone posted for San Diego.

Jeff and Steve screwed up the bass parts on the last song, Eye Flys. It was unexpected.

Merch table was same as in SD, except there was a hand-drawn poster specific to Austin.

I know they are out of the Pinkus haze tour edition lps. They still have the Pinkus cd box sets? Or GPT lps?

No, I didn’t see either of them. Sorry.

All Souls played for 45 min. The drummer is a beast.
