Very happy to have the cheapy CD. Both tracks kill, track 1 wins by a slight margin. Haze's mailorder is top notch of late. I order something, it's in my mailbox in 2 days, from MN to WNY.

I'm guessing amrep only. Just a hunch.

You're probably right. This seems to be something for us hardcore fans only, a casual fan just isn't interested in this. And those who are certainly won't pay a dollar for it, just will stream it off youtube. File under NO COMMERCIAL POTENTIAL, as Frank would say. Is this movie the Melvins "Uncle Meat"?

So what's the deal with this movie and it's distribution? A standard Ipecac release coming on DVD with the full sdtk at some point, or strictly an uber-limited AmRep thing?
I could see Melvins testing this film/full sdtk  as a pay-to-download/stream release. If that's the case I don't support. Put it out as physical media, and I'll buy. I won't even get in line for a freaking 20 count release through AmRep. That's ridiculous.

I know Buzz has been very vocal about the Stones lately, but i have to say im really quite surprised they haven't done any more covers by The Who outside of My Generation. Buzz seems to rate them as one of the greatest bands of all time so one would think a covers album of Who tracks would appear before a Stones one or the Sabbath EP.

Something tells me the band are cooking something up. A Rolling Stones album a Sabbath EP. Could all this be related somehow?

Altamont's cover of "Young Man Blues" (which I know is not an original Who tune, but it might as well be) kicks major ass.

Awesome, stoked for this. Rolling Stones from '68-'72 is godhead. I've gotten more into the Ronnie Wood era stuff up to Tattoo You a lot more lately. There are many great deep cuts from the late '70s/early '80s that Melvins could own. They were a pretty great white-boy blues band in the mid '60s too. I used to like Satanic Majesties when I first discovered '60s psych rock. I think it's their most dated & overrated album though, with 2K Light Yrs being the only great track there.
Would be unbelievably awesome if they could somehow connect with Keith to jam on something. I bet he would be up for it. 8) Who would've thought they'd jam w/ Cheap Trick?

"give up" comes on here making a bold, yet retarded claim, yet nothing real to back it up. Ian probably agrees with you.
My guess is you want to make friends here so someone will eventually care about your band. Thanks for the heads up about your potential endeavor. I'll be sure to avoid at all costs. :P

Cool. Really hope Haze does a run of the cheapo $5 CDs, since I don't have any intentions of paying the going vinyl price, plus it'll sell out in 5 min. besides.

I don't have any Mark D. solo albums. I do have an account w/ Season Of Mist. When I pre-order the new KEN mode - Loved(out 8/31), I'll likely add some of Mark's CDs to the cart.

These details of the stand-alone Boner reissues probably don't concern the Melvins one bit. Buzz would probably say - if you don't like it, buy our $60 AmRep letterpress version at a show, or else pay $300 for an original pressing on ebay.

I don't have a major problem with the K-Tel versions, or the 3rdMan's. I'd give them both an 8/10.

Would love to see a Cheap Trick/Melvins tour! Gonna throw this LP on now:

It's too bad that Cheap Trick doesn't play on their own more, in smaller clubs. Whenever they're touring, it's always some bullshit package tour where they're opening for some shit '80s band, like this summer they're with Poison in the outdoor sheds.
I recently asked someone I know who has worked on Cheap Trick's road team in the past why they don't headline more in clubs instead of opening on those big megatickets, and he said basically it's guaranteed easy money, on someone else's bill. They don't have to worry about doing the heavy lifting, and there's just no pressure to sell tix. Just go rock out for 45 min every night, get paid well, & go home happy afterwards.

This Buffalo News piece sums it up:
http://buffalonews.com/2018/04/11/jeff-miers-open-letter-to-cheap-trick-youve-poisoned-our-love/

I saw them once, opening for ZZ Top summer '97 on Father's Day. Bought my Dad a tik, he drove, was an epic night.

Would have loved to hear that sound check. BTW, who is running the board this tour?
A guy named John H.
Kurt Schlegel was last seen.. 2009? I'm not sure.
Whatever happened to Roadbull? Tim Moss?

Kurt was definitely w/ Melvins on last summer's tour. He was on the road w/ Jello & GSM the year before that also running the board. I said hi and thanked him for the job well done both times.
Moss? Mike Patton stole him away.  Moss didn't run sound, just managed stage setup/teardown, and tech'd Buzz's gear. Last time I saw him w/ Melvins was 2008. By 2010, Anthony from Totimoshi/now All Souls was tour manager guy for that one tour.

My man says Adam and Danny from Tool were there

So the Tool guys(minus Maynard) had these $500 music "clinics" and were in Columbus on the 17th, and then @ The Agora in Cleveland on the 19th. So yep, guess that was Adam. Weird that nobody was bothering him. Didn't see Danny, you can spot him a mile away, dude's like 7'.
Who the hell pays half a grand to go to a Tool music clinic?
