actually, I refuse to accept or believe dale would rip-off anyone or any song.  I just think it's a relatively common and catchy riff.   there is no way I am thinking that dale listened to QOTSA and said "yeah, I'm going to write a song just like that".  besides dale has GOT IT ALL OVER QOTSA. with or without MELVINS.

yeah, I believe that is EL STUPIDO.  although I have never heard anything from QOTSA besides radio shit. I do recall that it sounds like that "no one knows" song.  kinda bouncy.

I dig how dale does his own thing.  he doesn't try to be terribly heavy or riffy. it's just rock the way HE likes it.  in classic MELVINS fashion, catering to NO ONE.

I hear ya recess.         west coasters are spoiled.  I got a bad location in DETROIT. it's out of the way any way you slice it. 
according to BUZZ himself, detroit is MELVINS second favorite place to play, yet we only get hit once a year at best.    it must be ROUGH to be in europe, south america etc. and get a show rarely, if ever.
almost got my fix this year by hoping a plane to seattle until personal issues nixed that idea.   I came THAT close.   now us midwesters got fucked on the JELVINS tour and probably looking at late 06 tell we get another go-round.

this disc is OLD SCHOOL as shit.    joe speaks truth.   although I WILL say I am a bit more partial to OUR DARLING.   no taking anything away from it though.
I also got BB "head for shallow" in the same order. 
isn't it fucked up how you can go for 3 months burned out on all your discs with nothing to listen to, then all of a sudden you got 3 or 4 things and you can't listen to the new shit fast enough?   feast or famine.

BIG BUSINESS is working for me.  this disc DOES NOT let up.  I am impressed with Cody (cody?) on drums.  makes me look forward to the collab.   thanks for the tip conda.

just got monkee's uncle in the mail.  surprisingly fast.  good shit as expected.
to me, you can hear the alice cooper influence more in this than MELVINS covering alice cooper.
