According to this you won't be going anywhere near me(ottawa). But, since you'll be driving by montreal. I could take the bus to montreal and get picked up there?

I'd be more than willing to pitch in for gas money and grass. Fuck, I'll ride in the trunk if I have to.  :P

Ya man i can meet you in Montreal. Sounds like we got things resolved a little bit.  Fuck this should be a good trip. I would only be going with 1 or 2 other ppl so there is room for you no worries.
When do the tickets go on sale?

Fuck! This is my chance!
Same Here.
Google maps says its a 5 hour drive from my house.  Easily done.
Not so easy for me. No car. I've been looking at bus routes. Either I'm stupid or I'll have to take two buses. One to montreal and than another one to victoriaville. Knowing my friends don't won't want to pay 40-60$ for a bus ride to see "just" the melvins.

Right now I'm hoping for some other canadian dates closer to home.

Haha Maarten knows how long i've been waiting for this : )
Not to get your hopes up but I'm might be able to pick you up if your somewhat on the way and are willing to pitch a bit (ass gas or grass).  let me know.. I live in Kingston... so if you can find a route between Kingston and Victoriaville that goes by your place let me know and we will make it happen.

Im happy. Finally a concert experience is around the bend.

Anyone else like prig... that song is "the" song for me at this time. Especially at 4min50 into the song... it switches up superbly (reminiscent of "skin Horse").

That first half is an mazing build up SWITCH fucking best 2nd half of a melvins song... i dont know why but i like when the melvins bring in the softness.
prig made me cry once when i was high
it conjures up a lot of images
I can see it.. that song is beautiful... brings me to the edge of tears too : )

Sorry to offend all the JT fans.

He was cool when he was still underground.

You comedic genius surpasses me.
And there is not a bit of sarcasm in that.

Actually I wasn't being sarcastic.

Well....maybe a little. I would never buy a Timberlake CD, but I would take a listen if it were handed to me.

As for Pitchfork, I have discovered a shitload of great bands on that website. Many of which I listen to all the time and some that have enhanced my life greatly. On the other hand, I also disagree with their reviews from time to time. For instance, they have never been fond of the Melvins, except when they're talking about how influential they are. They also rip Tool and The Mars Volta so there you go...

And as you mentioned 'tommyhc', it is all about taste and that's all a review is right? Someone's opinion.

Nicely said.
It is possible that I am over confident in my belief that he will never release anything worthwhile. But I truly doubt it. But then again it comes back to a matter of taste.  What I find to be thrash doesn't make it so.

Sorry if I offended some  JT fans.  (I must say I have been playing it safe since my initial outburst at a a poor soul when I first joined the board... let's spice things up a bit).   Fuck Justin Timberlake.... there we go.

Has anyone heard the Justin Timberlake album? It might just be the coolest fucking thing you've ever heard!

Besides you should hear yourselves being all closed minded. Afterall, wasn't it the excitement of listening to something new that brought you to the Melvins in the first place?

That and taste.
Your probably being sarcastic... my cyber sarcasm detector isn't working.  You find Justin's material to be new and exciting? I personally think it is entirely safe to dismiss his colletion of material past present and future.

The video you posted in the above quote is precisely what I believe Frank Zappa was trying to Convey to these elders.
