The original boner reissues, despite not having a very pleasing presentation packaging wise were very well pressed, flat and dead quiet. Those third man reissues were really pieces of shit in comparison.

Man, buzz and Dale are on fucking fire this tour, just fantastic.

Six years later and heartbreak of seeing the last one of these sold to the guy in front of me in the merch line has never faded.

At this point for me (A) Senile Animal is the last great Melvins album.

I'll take most any "old" tune over stuff like sesame Street meat and onions make the milk taste bad.
Really? I think both of those songs are some of the better ones the band have recorded the last 5 years or so!

It's funny you say that because after posting that I immediately played both and thought "oh, these actually aren't bad at all".

I was on vacation last year and missed them but that looked like one of the better setlists they've done in a while.

I don't think it's been in the set during a regular tour since the 2007 big business tour.

Edit: but whatever, I'll take most any "old" tune over stuff like sesame Street meat and onions make the milk taste bad.

PINKUS AND STEVEN on NIGHT GOAT
Personally i hope not! Night Goat is one Melvins song that has been played live far too much. The same goes for The Bit, Boris and more lately It's Shoved.

I'm sorry but I can't let this one go, when was the last time they played Boris regularly? I'm pretty sure it was the residency shows in 2011 and 2013. Yeah, that's kind of a while now. They can bring that one back.

I'm sure McDonald is a nice guy but his moves just come off as goofy to me.

Only a single LP?

The original was a single LP, I'd rather not have to pay out the nose for a double LP when the length of the album probably doesn't warrant it.

I only say that because the albums are roughly 50 minutes which is a bit much for a single LP. I was sort of holding out hope for a 45RPM double LP. Would have sounded hot as all fuck.

Can't really argue with that. Can these things come out already?

Some bands love that and swear by it.

The Grateful Dead
Phish
Ween

You see a pattern here?

Melvins aren't that type of band.
.
There's also this band called Shellac and was another called Fugazi but....
