Melvins Discussion / Re: Super Metal World podcast - Aug 2018

Well these guys did no research before the interview and were obviously not fans. They even asked the how long does a tour like that take in reference to the 51 day tour. I don’t usually hate on something that’s free but Jesus lizard on a stick how many more times are people gonna ask “so two bass players, how did that come about?”

Someone upload the other track on YouTube. I’m about to buy the cd from amrep but I want to hear it now so someone get on that ASAP.

I bought the cheapy CD and 5 other titles in the same category. I don't know how you think it's someone else's cart. Just pay and GTFO. Once I've gotten it in the cart, I've always gone right to PayPal and scored it.   =;

how do people know to be there at the right time who aren't part of this forum?

I saw the Shoxop sale info posted in the sleep group a couple of times and on weedian Instagram page. We had way more competition in the checkout process this time around than normal. As I saw someone post somewhere before, don’t remember who but as the saying goes “in yo cart not in yo hands”.

Was hoping Into the Void was one of the tracks because this shit here fuckin kills. It’s in regular rotation for me. How they slow it down and the groove...something about it. The only other Sabbath cover that comes close is the EP THOU put out. All Sabbath covers. It’s some of the heaviest shit I’ve ever heard. If y’all haven’t heard it check it out.

Walsby shared one of Toshis Instagram videos a while back said Sleep and Melvins involved. My guess is Sabbath covers with maybe Al from sleep singing?? That’s what it sounds like in the clip.

Jesus Christ. I need someone to pick me up some records. Merch table never looks that good by the time they make it over to the east coast. Anyone willing I’ll make it worth your time.

I was able to grab the whole set. I woke up just in time. I usually get a couple of practice runs in but I hit snooze and almost missed it. Surprised they weren’t sold out by time I got logged in and checked out.

Love his albums. It’s a shame more people don’t know his solo stuff. I would say I wished they had kept him but we all know they put out some killer shit after getting rid of him also. Maybe one day they will work with him again.

A melvins tale poster. If anyone here wants it I’ll take $85 shipped. That’s pretty much what I paid for it straight from the artist. I already have too many posters to frame.

Looking for the new Mackie Ozma and Bullhead records if anyone has an extra to trade or sell.

Japanese CD has the usual insert and sticker as a bonus:

Do all the Japanese versions have the stickers? AWWLAD had one included as well didn’t it?

I wonder if it's colored vinyl?

I think the bullhead is green vinyl. Should have went with blue.
If Anyone on here is goin to that show tonight could pick me up a set of those I could pay you some cash or a tour/haze glow version of PAT. Long shot but figured I’d ask.

Great show. Having two bassists was overkill, but oh well. It was good to see Pinkus again.

Setlist was the same as the one someone posted for San Diego.

Jeff and Steve screwed up the bass parts on the last song, Eye Flys. It was unexpected.

Merch table was same as in SD, except there was a hand-drawn poster specific to Austin.

I know they are out of the Pinkus haze tour edition lps. They still have the Pinkus cd box sets? Or GPT lps?

I shouldn't engage because we will forever disagree but are you seriously calling Pigs Of The Roman Empire, (A) Senile Animal, Nude With Boots and The Bride Screamed Murder run of the mill? That's a pretty exciting mill if you ask me.

Also, saying that that an album with almost as many covers as original songs is their best in years might be saying something about your general affinity for the band.

Thank you. Yea all those albums are killer, like wtf? This guy has to be trolling. And that’s what I was trying to say earlier about so many damn covers and the rest of the songs not even being written by the Melvins. Break bread sounds like a damn honky song. I don’t mind Pinkus in the Melvins but I don’t care for Honky. Your “general affinity for the band” part is spot on. You said it way better than me.

Oh yeah and Buzzo ALWAYS envisions totally weirded out twisted music to make while sniggering and thinking to himself "wait'll the fans hear THIS weird stuff!!! It'll show'em how bad-ass we are!"

Yea because covering the Beatles is so weird. If you really think this is better than anything they’ve put out in 18 years then you’ve either been in a coma or you’re trolling.
