To be fair with the Crystal Fairy stuff they probably put more effort into that given the commercial potential of the project.
From a musician's/ songwriter's POV, I see it more as a thing where you shift instrumentation around to fit the personnel. Buzz plays low end riffs when he sings these days. His voice has gotten deeper with age, as happens with all vocalists. He plays deep riffs when he sings, but playing with a female vocalist, he started to shift things around to fit her voice better . That created a better flow from song to song throughout the entire album. Add in the fact that there was a keyboard on a lot of those songs and that pushed things around even further. If you strip out Teri from that album it sounds more like Ozma than anything they've done in a decade.

I've got everything the Stones ever released but haven't listened much since I got on the internet and found some decent music  8-[

This should be good. Just hope they make it plenty weird. More like the covers on Sausages, less like the ones on PAT.

I get the Sabbath worship and everything but I am thoroughly sick of this tone. The drums sound like cardboard at this point and I feel like Buzz's guitar work is the same on every single track they put out.
Crystal Fairy did have the most variety in riffs, sounds, taxtures.

I cherish every Melvins album. I'm always wondering what's coming next!

I'm not sure they were ever relevant. Maybe for a few minutes in the early 90s. But that's not why any of us listen to them. Who fuckin' cares?!

Some funny stuff in there.
Funny and a lot of little details people have been wondering about too (Paul Leary, Rolling Stones covers, how it came together with 2 bassists...)

Dale Crover Band covered Flamboyant Duck in LA and the result was pure magic.

PAT kicks ass, admit it.
So jelly!

Fluff piece. Regurgitates old info on Buzz's reaction to Montage Of Heck. Could've really talked to the artist orSwamp Viking about the process behind Melvins show posters, but you know....

*audio only*

From https://www.facebook.com/DavesPicturesOfPictures/

"Ok...I'm finally getting my shit together with converting my audio tapes. I now post for your consideration, a historical document if you will. May 1992. I drove up to Gainesville to see Melvins at the Hardback. But Buzz had gotten really really sick and flew home. Dale and Joe Preston played a full set anyway. I called them the Elvins. Listening to this tape after these decades passed, they actually did a pretty good job. But at the time we were pissed we drove over 200m round trip to see a Buzz-less Melvins. Here's the 1st few minutes of that show.

Has anybody else ever heard of Melvins doing a show like this?"

The "shoot em both in the head" answer could have been used for any number of interviews in previous years. We've had enough of the Nirvana questions thanks.  :D

Album with Void Manes still happening or did it morph into the movie/ ambient experimental sound track thing?
