Cool stuff.

I'm also happy for Crover he's lost a fair bit of weight because he did blow out a bit there I remember he was big on the Aus tour with Fantomas in '09.

I don't think thin Buzz is coming back though.

I know this is off-topic, but man--conceding that Buzzo is my all-time fave guitar player, he really doesn't do those Slayer songs much justice. Though I suppose he's also wholly uninterested in doing so too. All the same, besides Slayer being a sort of sad shambles of what it used to be, those 80s records are like an occult book of brutal riff conjuration.

Walsby's awesome and this podcast episode is great. I had no idea that he was so connected to so many things in underground rock.

DSS was always a treat when I saw him play with the Melvins. I really liked that he kept a lot of his effects on a music stand so they were always in arms reach. I was super excited after seeing him the first time and was very much looking forward to another guitar player that did wild stuff and not just rhythm or whatever.
I know he's being doing a lot of modular synth stuff but I haven't heard any but I would assume it's probably really good.

It's funny, this whole conversation sent me searching google for any recent work of his and I can't seem to find anything beyond 2011? I hope he emerges someday in a new project of some visibility.

my guess is $65.00 per release.

That sounds right considering the cost of recent releases like this.

Maybe this has been talked about before but whatever happened to David Scott Stone? I was listening to here come the waterworks and was wondering why he disappeared from the Melvins world.  They seemed to be all about him for some time. I really enjoyed him on the 2x4 tour. I'm thinking there must've been some kind of falling out. Anyone?

According to Jello, Buzz had a falling out with DSS; over what he did not specify ... Jello tried to get 'em to kiss and make up but Buzz apparently wasn't having any part of it ... and so bye, bye Davey! Too bad DSS 2x4 tour (and subsequent tours) was epic ... loved him on as 2nd guitar/noise ... I posted this with a transcript of Jello's comments way back in the good old days. Maybe its still around here donno? I did a quick search but got bored ... sorry

Not that it matters but I wonder if that falling out was over money. They must've had that guy on retainer for a while there. Maybe LCD Soundsystem money was better?

I wish I could contribute to this, but alas I'm only a guitar player. Maybe a droning interpretation of one of their songs?

I know with each album/tour cycle its easy to get worn out on some of the material, but then with time you realize how killer those tunes were to begin with. Or maybe you just really miss these jams?

I'll vote for two:

Blood Witch
A Suicide in Progress

Bring these back plz k thx bye.

Anyone know how much the tickets are? Or any other information? Facebook has figured out that I don't have an account so they're making it tough for me to lurk. Either that or I'm just paranoid. I have been hittin' the conspiracy docs pretty hard on YouTube lately.  8-[

Slightly off topic but when you visit a bands Facebook page do you get that annoying banner that covers like a third of the screen asking you to sign in with 'not now' being an option? I click on not now and then the banner/blocker turns into half a page and I can barely read anything.

I remember you used to be able to view Facebook pages in full without signing up or logging in.

Yes, Yes!!! Exactly! It fucking sucks and I lose patience after about ten seconds!
Okay, glad I'm not the only one.

Thanks!
*edit- Ticket bought! I hope that Reaper fella makes it out. That Idle fella better be there too! Brian and JUDY too, woohoo and who knows, maybe I'll finally get to meet my email pal JoelK! Also, I'm glad it's inside this time around. I might have to bring the kids to the movie depending on the starting time.

Yes! I thought that this account must be you! Now I know for sure, Minneapolis Kid! I'm pumped to meet you in the flesh as well!

Looks like Buzz needs his nap. Always fun to see Dale take the lead though. That guy is so friendly and game there.

Got tix for my lady and I to attend the Prick release party. Very excited! Didn't get to see them at First Ave since I was sick so I'll be able to make up for it. First Melvins gig I'll attend since the 2011 residency tour in Chicago

Probly before Lukin bought that Guitar Buzzo sold him, then sold it to someone else instead of selling it back to him.

 What a dumb thing to be mad about.
