they're running out of bands there.

They definitely are, but I may still go if I can get the time off. I could watch Melvins/Deerhoof/Shellac a billion times and never get sick of em.

if i'd live in the uk i'd probably seriosuly consider it.

at the time i posted that comment i didn't realize it was gonna be a 'best of', sort of.

it sure is getting more and more interesting now!

it will be interesting to see the magic band - kind of like the sun ra arkestra.

i wonder what line up porn will be playing with, or in other words: who'll fill in the bass position(s) (last time i saw them, at atp, it was trevor dunn and thurston moore).

jamie, how many more bands will be confirmed - approximately? thanks.

(already looked up the prices for plane tickets...)

Yeah the Magic Band kinda sucked me into going again! I'm going to beg work for the holiday tomorrow and see what happens from there.

cool, once again, thanks for keeping us updated, jamie.

do you have any estimation how much time rthere will be until the next announcement?

(i'm seriously considering going to this, btw. i just checked some plane options, easyjet is  a lot cheaper but only goes to bristol once a day, klm is a bit more expensive (but not much) and goes three times a day (and it would save me the B&B costs for one extra day), and that would save me one day off work... exciting!)

may be a little while before we do more due to how busy we'll be with our NY fest in the next month.
not sure though!

ok, clear.

(a simple pm would do as well... j/k.... ok, half kidding maybe)

eight more bands or so, you'd think that should include at least two bands that i wouldn't mind seeing.

Why must they always have this exclusive stuff with access only for them who spends the nights in chalets on a remote resort, and stuff being sold out before it`s announced? Why can`t they have it in London at for excample Koko Club or something, with the chance to go on all nights or one single? This is just annoying teasing for me, cause there`s no chance in hell I will attend. Piss-irritating.
Looky, my big sig-pic is gone!!!

You could surely say the same for any music festival? Who would want to spend three days in Koko?

Piss-irritating.

you gave up your freedom and this is the price you are paying, my friend!

j/k of course.

i actually like the idea of having your accomodation and the festival area together. i remember for roadburn 2008 you had way too many choices for different tickets that didn't work out at all:

- pre-party (thursday
- main event: friday
- main event: saturday
- passe-partout #1 (friday and saturday)
- passe-partout #2 (thursday - sunday,  except the tibet day)
- afterburner (sunday)
- david tibet curated day (sunday)

(i don't think there were two passe-partout tickets but it gives you a fair indication)

simply put: it was hell, and they changed it the next year and stripped the different ticket options.
