Residency Shows Coming To UK/Europe

Piccadilly Records mentioned in their lowdown of the Sugar Daddy cd that Melvins were bringing their residency shows to the UK & Europe in the summer.

Someone mentioned a while back that Melvins may be playing Studio 24 in Edinburgh???? I'll go bananas if they do a two night residency in Edinburgh.

Of course I'll go bananas if they do a two night residency in Glasgow too.

I'll go mad as a cut snake if they do a two night residency in Edinburgh AND Glasgow.

Looking forward to finally seeing the tour listings for UK & Europe.......surely it has to be penciled in shortly.

I'll go bananas AND mad as cut snake if they come here to the Netherlands.. Wouldn't be suprised if a bunch of european dates appear on the net soon becouse of the show in France, altough Dale said they probably will do europe in the fall.

That would be awesome for you guys! I thought Big Biz are doing a separate tour this summer..

Buzz said that they are toying with doing some Melvins Lite shows with Trevor Dunn on Stand-up Bass (Which sounds awesome..) -Maybe They head for Europe after that..

Buzz Osborne: It looks like Big Business is going to do a tour this Summer.

Coady Willis: Then we are talking about the Melvins playing Europe in the fall.

Buzz Osborne: Yeah, we are going to play some European shows in the fall, and that should take us to the end of the year, pretty much.

I read in an interview with Buzz on the eve of their Australian tour as part of the Soundwave festival earlier this year that they would be coming back here for a headline tour later in the year. But might not be on the cards now who knows.

think you're right. i haven't seen the melvins since 2008 now. frankly unreasonable behaviour from a band i saw 13 times in 4 years previous to that. i wonder how they sleep at night.

I remember a few years ago I tried to play the Okie From Muskogee and Rambin' Man covers for my mom and her husband. The only response I got from either one of them was when he asked "what makes you listen to a band called The Melvins?" To which I replied, "what makes you listen to someone named Merle Haggard?" I asked their opinion on the cover songs and they both agreed that, while not as good as the originals, they were "not bad".

if you want to get parents into melvins try some of the "nicer" songs on the bootlicker. like up the dumper.
