Other than the recent (last 5 yrs.) AmRep vinyl releases; every Melvins 12"/10"/7"/Boxset/CD/VHS/DVD I've bought since 1987 has been purchaced at the same inde record shop ...

This one will be no different

I suspect I'll drive over on my lunch break tommorrow. So as to be ready to crank it on the deck after work as I bbq some huge ass sirloin burgers.

make friends w/your local record store owner, youll get everything a week before it hits the streets.

Indeed, 30 or so yrs. shopping the same shop has it's perks ... they usually have things in about a week early ... and then so do I! Though they slept on this "Freak Pube". So, Tuesday it'll have to be.

Back in the 90's when me and my buddies were dropping every last cent we had there (i'd say I spent $50-100 in there every week or so for about a decade) they used to just lend us the used cds we couldn't afford so we could burn them ... cool cats!
where in town do you go? rotate and soundscapes have been pretty lax on getting things in on time...

Encore Records in Kitchener (born an raised there, though I'm about a half hour outside town these days).

In Toronto it'd be Rotate (Soundscapes is too expensive), Hits or Misses and though I haven't been in a couple years Peguin Music. Is Record Peddler still around ... that was my fave place in the late 80's (when they used to be across from the Gardens).

ahhh, i thought you were toronto based, sorry about that. i'll try all those places, but i don't have too much hope. record peddler closed shop around 10 years ago actually. it was the best place for me to go to in my teens, even though the guys working there were typical record store snobs. hits or misses is a great store, but way too expensive and kind of slow to get things that are non vinyl. we shall see what awaits me when i venture out....

Tried to get a physical copy with the ecw boxset but no one had it due to confusion of the name... Come to think of it leon  sounds vvaguely like the ecw theme. Got the new beach boys instead.

And that's why god killed dennis and carl.

This is just one of the things that is nice about fan forums, the healthy ability to disagree  8)
Oh of course i wouldn't have it any other way either. Everyone of us would have a different perspective.
No we wouldn't.
Oh, well, i stand corrected.

great review but dale plays drums.

I thought the same then thought he may have played guitar on that song. Haven't seen the liner notes (or heard the CD yet) so not sure.

I think it was here:

"Baby, Won't You Weird Me Out" begins as a familiar Melvins sludge-whisper, but then evolves into a jam session, where Crover's guitar and Dunn's bass play off each other
