The juciest bit so far (around page 127) has Buzz and Dale hanging out with Shirley Temple. Shirley tap dances for them, and makes a statement to the effect that tap dancing could be likened to a "form of percussion"[sic].  Buzz: "it was David Lynch weird."  And then this by Frank Kozik (poster artist; video director)
"I remember when I first got a hold of the Melvins OZMA record, and I was like, "This band is fucking brutal!" and they came to play at this tiny club in Austin called Cave Club, and I did this shitty black and white xerox for it. I'd never seen a picture of them. Buzz comes out, and he has this huge hairdoo, and I was like, "What the fuck, who is this faggot-looking dude? What is this the opening band?" He looks like some reject guy from the Cure or something. But it was him, and they rocked, and I was blown away."
[the scumbag does not include set list, can you imagine?]

Seems to me like kozik might have some repressed homosexual feelings himself if his first impression of Buzz was "that faggot looking dude."
That's a pretty weird first impression to get off the King.
Pretty much the last thing I would ever label Buzz after my first impression.

Does the book sport any show photos of the boys from way back?

If so, how many pics? Chuck Peterson's, "Touch me .. ick" & "Screaming lfe" , pretty much dis DaleBuzz if you were looking for snap shots.

This is great. Made me laugh out loud

Page 300:

Buzzo: "Nirvana management was never nice to us.  Outright fucking asshole bastards.  Right when Nevermind came out, we played a show with Nirvana in NY.  Their manager, John Silva, said to me, "if you were a real band, on a real tour you'd understand that this is just fine." meaning them fucking us over in one form or another: T-shirts, money, everything. That's the defining moment for me with Nirvana management. Somebody can only say that to me once, and then I hate their guts forever.
Nirvana had surrounded themselves with regular Rock-and-Roll people by then.  The same rock-and-roll crew that now does Nine Inch Nails-type tours.  I generally don't get along with those types of people, for good reason, mostly because they are a bunch of human turds. I've never met a group of people who hate music more than rock-and-roll professionals.
After John Silva gave me that speech, I walked out into the lobby of the club, the Marquee, where there were huge, floor-to-ceiling Nevermind posters up.  Right under the baby on the Nirvana record cover, I wrote in huge letters MELVINS SAY NIRVANA SUX for everybody to see when they came in. And Silva went out there and tore it all down. It was pretty funny."

There was also a great little snippet earlier on of Dale crediting Lori for calling him out when he was playing too fast.

I think we should put it in a jar labeled 'melvins'

Kozik looks like anything but a "faggot looking m'fer".
