I know, I know, I am bit late on posting this. But I just thought since I attended the show, some people would like to know how it went. And the show was fantastic. Some band called "LORD" was supposed to play before Unsane, but that didn't happen. Unsane got the crowd fired up and ready to go for when the Melvins came out. Melvins started up and the crowd started getting more intense as they played through their set. At one point, the security gate, which was held up by chairs, almost fell down because of everyone pushing and what not. The set ended with them playing "The Bit" and Buzz leaving the stage while the rest of the members morphed the song into a jam. After the show was over, one of the roadies threw the renaming setlists into the crowd.
I did get some video of the Mevlins playing The Bit. You can watch that here, if you'd like:

I was at this show too, all of you that took part in that mosh pit should be ashamed of yourselves. Another great show and a testament to the forethought put into creating a setlist that they stick to throughout the tour. Perfect flow, one of the guys I went to the show with hadn't seen them since we saw them in 1998 and the other guy hadn't seen them at all. You get a good feeling when you take the unconverted to a great Melvins show and they express varying levels of mind-blownitis post performance. Unsane was great too, I've never seen them live before but have always been a fan of their stuff. There was no poster for this show for some unforgivable reason. Brian Walsby was enjoying the tour and said he'd be going on the 50 states tour later this year too. The Totimoshi split he gave me was olive green in color for those tracking the color variants (#148/500). Saw the guys backstage after the show and Buzz showed me the new custom Emeperor cabinets ( http://emperortone.com/cabs/ ) they just picked up in Chicago that he had made for himself and Trevor for the upcoming Melvins Lite shows, they looked awesome and even had the old-school Melvins in KISS script on the back of them. Should have taken a picture, d'oh. And yes, they really are going to all 50 states + D.C.! Apparently they're going to start the whole thing off in Alaska with rented equipment and taking an overnight flight back to the lower 48 to hit the road. Also sounds like Big Business will be playing some but not all of the big U.S. tour this fall. Oh, and Dale is a big fan of Tweak Bird, so check them out if you haven't - http://soundcloud.com/souterraintransmissions/sets/tweak-bird-forget-em-7inch/
