Meazle Tov!
Hey, Conda! Soorry that Canada got embargoed on this tour. Time to go to Australia.  8)

Wow!, what a show! Tried to load pictures from my crappy phone.  :x will retry, later.
):}»>\ I did. Please bear in mind, I can't do shit about the upside down pics. Phone sucks!/<«{:(

Merch table-Brian was great. I bought an original poster from him (Buzz on the album cover of David Bowie's Lodger).
To go with that, I got the David Bowie single. Just had to get that b-side of Breaking Glass! $30
There were still copies of TMKA Part 2 & 3, for $40 each. I really wanted those, but my kid starts preschool next month.  :?
I got the Philly Buzz poster with the tri-color scheme stenciled (carved out) with the sexy bunnies on it. $10.
Next, I got the skull shirt. They only had medium sized playing card shirts. $20
Brian told me to take another poster from the stack, because I had spent $80. I went for the next smallest one, so I got the Atlanta edition ( I'm running out of wall space), a psychedelic rabbit. The Austin poster was awesome, but too big (a bush the size of a car, shaped like Buzz's hair).  I tipped him $5.

I bought Emma Ruth Rundle's new CD from her sister, and Emma autographed it. They were both very sweet. Emma put on one hell of a show. She played acoustic guitar, switched to a Fender Jaguar, then back to acoustic. She was playing through a fully stacked pedal board and a Hartke bass amp. Very full sound. Again, very haunting. She had fans there just to see her (Tucson is a pretty hip college town), and they stayed to watch Buzz.

It was a very smooth show, except for a few loud drunks. They were the happy drunks, not the march on stage and threaten to kill King Buzzo drunks, so I'll take it.

We got the Mike Patton story (tonight, they pay!). With some dissing of Philly, mixed in. The drunks felt the need to interject whatever would fly out of their unfiltered brains, so we also got some rare disses of Texas, God, other stuff. Whatever Buzz could do to keep the story on track. I suspect that we missed a song off of TMKA, due to the interruptions, but it was a great show.

I enjoyed Boris and Dwight Frye, but liked the other Melvins songs and new songs more. The sound was perfect. The club was a great configuration for a small show like this. Electric Melvins would play across the street at the bigger Rialto Theater. If they tried to squeeze into this place, people's heads would explode and the hotel would collapse. I estimate the attendance at about 45, so I could see and hear everything from the back row.

My wife enjoyed the story more than the music, and wants to know why we had to pay at our first Mr Bungle show (it sounds pretty much like the same set list  ) She's a trooper. I have to thank her for letting this trip be half of our vacation. At least we get to stay at the historic Arizona Inn, eat awesome Mexican food and it's cooler than Phoenix (temperature-wise, I stilll like Phoenix way better).

Sure thing, Jules & Grim.
Now that I'm home,  I'm redoing some pics. Look back to first post, after the review.
More to come, too.

Buzz -neat fx on pic!

Atmosphere around  the Club

Lots of local press!

We got there quite early. The hotel told me Buzz would go on about 8:30, he started at 10:00. Buzz was alone in the showroom, taking selfies. It was the stuff he posts on Facebook. I'm kicking myself in the ass for not getting a pic of that, or even meeting him. My wife asked if I should go take a picture with him. It was my chance, and I blew it. Alone in a dark room with my favorite musician. What a putz, I am!  :x

Buzz is lamenting the missed opportunities for hanky panky as well. He totally thought there'd be some heavy petting at least.
