Hopefully AmRep does it, I'd kill to see HazeXXL do his version of the original cover designs, that would be badass.
I'd kill to be able to actually afford to buy some of these records. I think the Amrep releases are great and all but I haven't even heard the new Dale 7inch because I don't have $30 fucking dollars to spend. It would be nice if there was a poor person option like a $5 download or something along those lines. Like the Residency set.

So what's the deal with bootleg vinyl? If found out would the pressing plant get in trouble? Wouldn't whoever gets it pressed have to sign some sort of legal form saying they have the rights to the music being pressed? I mean this isn't like CDs where anyone can take CDRs and make copies at home, or people posting various mp3s on their blog, this requires a third party who charges for the records to be pressed, and at a time where there aren't really that many vinyl record plants around and it sounds like the ones that are are super busy.
Hail, not fail.
PS:  fuck him.

Majority of it happens overseas. Bootlegs will always be around unfortunately.

Alex-

Can someone tell me if I bought a Original or a bootleg? I bought this version http://www.discogs.com/Melvins-Bullhead/release/4370366

I see this is almost an exact copy as the bootleg? http://www.discogs.com/Melvins-Bullhead/release/6224652

Does the Original also has this text on the back sleeve? Licensed from Boner for more money than the last one, and probably more than the Tub elope. Buzz is love. Love is Buzz.
Tupelo would like us to be in Austin but is at POB 421410, SF CA, 94101, USA. Al, don't lose the parts, dude!
UK Manufacture via Revolver. F*** the Cartel. GmbH via Rough Trade.

Here are some pictures of the record that i've bought:

Boner logo on the left, Tupelo logo on the right.

Matrix says

"dale lays some cable" on one side and
"buzz goes to the hip strip" on the other.

Thanks

You got a real one. There's no writing on the runout on the bootleg except for TUPLP 26A / TUPLP 26AB.

The bootleg has a blue centre label, the original Tupelo pressing has a white one. That's the biggest difference I can see.

The real one

The bootleg

only the Tupelo pressing was bootleged. blue label Tupelo pressings are fakes.
the original Boner pressing had also blue labels.
