Beautiful.
Great rendition. One of my favorite later era Melvins tracks. I like hearing anything after ASA covered or some rarities. Bullhead->Stag don't really need any covers.

Im not sure where "abstinence" came from. I was just thinking of something I could say instead of "silence", something that would put my own spin on it. When the word came to me it seemed to make perfect sense. I don't drink, whilst Grim likes a drink. I liked that polarity and connection. I thought about what a digital abstinence is or could be. How we might read about people online who have quit drinking or maybe even an abstinence from social media that folk so often mention these days. I didn't want to just have the silence after the words but I couldn't think what to do there or to add. I certainly wanted something. I considered a few different things. But then I thought about a song by Down that has the sound of a bong hit at the beginning. I thought "why not have the sound of a beercan opening?!". That to make made total sense. Someone being abstinent from drinking. The silence indicating this, how their life was now boring and then their will power breaks and predictably they go back to the drink. The funny thing was, I don't own any canned drinks at all. So to get the sound I just recorded a can being opened from a random YouTube video. How good or effective the video is i don't know. Grim did a good job putting it together. The silence originally was much shorter. Ideally it's not the Melvins "song" i would choose to cover but i like the video and it was fairly easy to do which suited me.
