Not exactly.  It is usually served over rice, but the keys to a gumbo usually are:

"It consists primarily of a strongly-flavored stock, meat or shellfish, a thickener, and what Louisianians call the "Holy Trinity" of vegetables, namely celery, bell peppers, and onions. "

Or in non-traditional recipes if you replace the O with a Y you can make:

Lyson?? Being that "L" and "N" are not near one another on a keyboard, im guessing that misspelling was intentional. Being a little OCD about these things, it always bugs me when bands fool around and write incorrect or comedy titles for their songs on setlists.

I thought someone might suggest something like that. I agree it is so trivial it's inconsequential - still, it's one of those things that personally bugs me whenever i see it. If i had my own band the song titles would HAVE to be written down correctly and in full!! No abbreviations or joke titles!
