I wonder if he'll write a follow up solo album one day?

Great read! I have to check out this McCartney video from '80 now. That Beefheart video that Dale references is bad-ass, I have the DVD. It's a true gem. Not to be a total geek but have to point out that it's not Drumbo in that video he mentions. That's Artie Tripp(aka Ed Marimba) w/ the panties on his head. He really rocks out on a basic kit there, after mostly playing marimba on Lick My Decals, and w/ the Mothers on Uncle Meat. That video is the Clear Spot '72 album lineup w/ Roy Estrada on bass & the rare 3-guitar line of Zoot Horn Rollo, Elliot Ingber, & Rockette Morton. There is a great video from a year earlier called Tubeworks Detroit w/ Drumbo that is very cool too. He uses a pair of congas as part of his set, sort of like primitive octo-bans.
