I've been digging into this stuff and I do not regret it.

Of the first four EPs, I'd say Fuckin' Shit is my favorite. Love, Devotion, and Surrender is pretty good, too. These are not records of songs, per se, more like excerpts culled from experimental tapes. Though there are "hooks" in the sense of repeated phrases and sometimes bass riffs, bleeps and bloops, or samples.

we had some janky gas stations here called GAS WARS around 20 years ago. they opened up in closed locations of formerly successful chains. the signage was gaudy. the tagline on one store was "new gas for the new millenium". all gone now.
