Freak Puke was and is one of my personal favorites from the last 10 years. And the shows from that tour were very very special (Including ending each one with the Definitive mind blowing version of Shevil) Trevor Dunn is a monster of talent and creativity.

I find myself saying this over and over, but what makes Melvins great is their constant willingness to try new things, take chances and change. I'd be thrilled for more of that lineup to surface, They supposedly recorded a ton of material when they made that record.

I'll just leave this here

One of the greatest days I've ever had in life was seeing the Melvins Lite in Hamilton.

Trevor was about an inch from the ceiling the whole show.

We had free beer from a bar down the street with live music that day...it was beautiful...walked back to get coffee and listen outside to the Melvins sound check...Dale with his Yankee Cigs.

Needless to say Trevor is awesome...Just fuckin' hands down the coolest.

I remember you telling me about "free beer"  outside the show and as tempting as that offer was I had to be a responsible driver.

))))((((

More recording work currently going on it seems with the band at their Sound Of Sirens studios. Buzz, Dale and Steve in attendance.

Freak Puke was the last great melvins album. It's the spiritual heir to The Bootlicker. Athough the version of "A Growing Disgust" I saw them do with Jared in 2012 is the superior version.
Can you all shut your damn cocks for one second? Music is the only thing that's real in this queef world of dildo ass chodes.

I dug the Melvins Lite live shows I attended more than the studio release. Not to say the studio release was bad, a solid release for sure and a highlight of Melvins releases of the last decade. Tho I was expecting (and hoping) the Lite would be more light so to say. Certainly more upbeat and rocking than I thought it would be. I really think Dunn on the acoustic fits well though.

Yeah, it was pretty killer when they whipped out Shevil as the closer for that tour. Holy Barbarians, Mr. Rip Off, Eye Flys were other standouts ...

After seeing this early footage of the Lite rolling this Bootlicker gem out I was really hoping they'd keep it in the set for the shows I saw ... alas, it was not so. But damn, they kill this one ...

That's great stuff! I would have been happy if they had included more from The Bootlicker also. That one or "Up The Dumper" could have killed... One thing you can always count on with Melvins is they will not do what you expect or wish for.

give up

I was at the Detroit Bar that night.  Jew boy killed.
