Hi folks, its been a while but this show needed to be reviewed!
I've been spoiled here in Vegas, the melvins have passed thru here once a year for pretty much the last 8 years! So this was held in another one of those new venues that just pops up in on of the hotel/casinos. It has only been open a couple months and I've already heard negative things about it..

Hepatitus was great as usual, different lineup I believe from when I saw them open for melvins lite. It was a 3 piece with the QUI drummer I believe. Kevin played a guitar (baritone)? tuned wayyy down with octave fuzz up the ass! They def were on it and seemed heavier and tighter! Sound was ok except the vocals were low.

Melvins, same set as SD and similar to last double  bass tour, with a couple diff songs switched out towards the end I think?
Was hoping and anticipating Kevin to play. High energy all night, buzz and dale were def as energetic and tight as they possibly could be! Again the venues PA could not match the volume of the bands amps so vocals where low, but it didnt ruin it for me.

Then during Evil New War God (that absolutely crushed) Kevin comes out and hooks up his pedal board! THen its Night Goat time! Shit was ridiculously heavy! THEN halfway thru the song the fucking venues power cuts off all the fucking amps!!! Buzz and co just stop and look around like WTF?? Buzz had his arms up and was like I guess thats it... They leave the stage. Dale says I guess thats it? See ya next time, that was our last song anyway!
Show ends!!! ROBBED from the peak of the show and triple bass Night Goat!!! I guess the venue couldn't handle the wattage from the extra amp that Kevin powered on..

Thanks for the review. I thought the Hepatitus drummer looked familiar.

I would've been pissed to see the power cut off during night goat, ugh.

Yes, because cutting a band's set short is a great way to encourage them to come back and play again in the future
