I live 3.5 hours away now but if you're ever in the area I will definitely drive over for a weekend.

This particular adventure would need to be somewhere a little more relaxed than a cafe.  The neighborhood tavern/pub in the part of town that I lived most of my time in Portland opens at 10am which is what time these go on sale in this time zone.  I know the bartenders well enough that they would let us in early to get settled with drinks and food and then be as loud as we need when we are either successful or not in our panic purchases.
