anybody heard/heard about this? you can buy it in the shop section of ideologic.org

self released 2006

4 track edition of 200 handmade pieces. Stunning & punishing work of a treated steel gate recording by Mark Deutrom (ex-Melvins and sometimes SUNN O))) collaborator). Dense as fuck!

Well if it's a self released CDR, that should tell you a little bit about what happened to Mark D's career. I mean hell, all of us could release CDRs (and I'm sure a few of you have already), but none of us had the high profile Mark D did. I wonder what he does for work now, cuz I'm guessing that doesn't pay the bucks.

Mark D's doing fine.  He recently toured with Sunn, and I doubt the cd-r release means he's having to beg for change on the streets- take Dave Stone, for example.  The cd-r's are just a way for some artists to get their material out.

I suppose you are right. Maybe it's a stop gap before releasing a new full length or whatever. But the way the reception has been, hopefully it won't sound like that.

You really liked the Silent Treatment, what has Mark done on this release that is so bad? I haven't heard it yet.
