at one point about 2 years ago this was posted on merzbows site. 
then sieg howdy came out so wasn't sure if that was what they were refering to.
somewhere in the world there is a merzbow-melvins remix waiting to see the light of day.

not much, but I found this on the acidmothers.com.  update is dated january 7, 2007:

A Melvins remix album including a remix by Kawabata Makoto is due for release. The label has acclaimed Kawabata's remix as the "loudest and heaviest" on the album.

also found this little tidbit on Merzbows 'upcoming releases' listing:
-SNIVLEM/Melvins Remix (CD) Ipecac, USA

Fuckin' A. That's awesome. I would love to see a Melvins/Acid Mothers Temple tour. They'd fit in well on Ipecac too. Looking forward to seeing AMT live in May, a year after I saw them last in the same venue :D We'll have to post dates on here soon, because every Melvins fan should check them out. Devastating live band.

Anyone check out Kawabata's side album "Hot Rattlesnakes" by The Mothers Of Invasion? From '01, recently reissued stateside. Guitar heavy power trio type stuff.

anyway, electroretard is G-REAT.  check it out. 
i, for one, can't wait to hear heavy chuggy melvins songs remixed.  or any of their songs for that matter.  they're not always all that heavy - which is really great, IMO
