blow outs are where the line spread unintentionally, usually from where the artist didnt hold the machine at a proper angle (the short lines around the top of the pineapple). too close together as well. they will blur together over time, and it will be very blob-ish after a few years.
missed connections are where a line meets poorly when you try to join them, making an abnormally thick line where it shouldn't be. half of the lines on the glass, left side of the basket, some of the lines on the leaves on the left, most of the linework on the top of the pineapple, left side of the basket, linework on the oranges etc. it's commonly done when some one tried to meet the line from 2 different directions instead of picking up the line going the same direction it was going in the first place.
plenty of lines missing in all of the leaves, and more than I need to point out anymore. a lot of rookie mistakes. this is permanent. people should have the best work possible. they live with it forever. a professional can save a lot of this. she needs to go to a different shop/artist. this was done at a shop, i hope?
if someone here posted a song their friend recorded, and said "hey check this out" somebody here would point out of if he was playing out of tune, off-beat, or playing same note twice becuase they screwed it up the first time, esp if it was all of those things at once, and there would be nothing wrong with pointing that out. at least a song can be played and recorded a second time.
if someone wants to call me a dick, then so be it. i can live with that. I'm a pretty nice guy irl and my presence here on melvins.net for the last 8 years has been 99.9% positive posts.
