Weird. The beginning of the song is pretty quite during all the Stuka footage, do you have your speakers cranked up? When you see the Melvins it gets pretty loud, or at least goes to a regular volume like any other video. I haven't had any problems viewing it yet.

Not a Melvins video, but here is a video of OM's Unitive Knowledge of the Godhead that I made a few nights ago:

I've got a few more songs I'd like to do as well. Basically just stuff that I like that there are no good videos for, currently just like the album cover for the whole video stuff. These videos are really easy to make, it seems like the most time consuming thing is finding the right footage to use.

Really cool.  I didn't know you could do shit like that with imovie.  I'm totally stealing your idea and trying it sometime!  :P

How do you incorporate the youtube footage though?  Need a different program?

Please do! The reason I started messing with this stuff was out of a desire to see more cool videos to songs I love.

No program for the youtube footage, just go to this link:
http://keepvid.com/?url=Enter+URL+of+video+page+here++-++example%3A+http%3A%2F%2Fyoutube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D3V5a8mDTW6k

Paste in the url for the footage you want (I think you can take about any video, not just youtube stuff) click the small download tab, you'll get a choice of how to download, I always choose MP4. It saves to my computer and I just load it into iMovie. I'm pretty stupid when it comes to computers, especially downloading/uploading and stuff like that, but this is so simple now with this newer version iMovie. God, I feel like I'm doing a commercial now.

myownservant is probably my biggest influence for this stuff, I always look forward to his latest uploads. He's made some really killer fan videos. His video for Sleep's Holy Mountain is probably my favorite of his:

He's also got some killer Electric Wizard videos. Scroll through and check out some of his other fan videos, he's the king in my book. I don't think he's done any Melvins videos, and quite a few are just still image videos, but when he does moving image videos, they're usually pretty awesome.

I took a live version of Manky that was already up on youtube and made it my own. The audio was not very good, so I just used the album version, weird noise at the beginning and end and all, then spliced it with some Stuka footage cause I thought it fit the sound well. I had to mess with Buzz and Kevin's timing a little bit to get them to sync up with the album timing, it's not perfect, but it's close enough. iMovie is fun.

This whole thing reminds me of the Terminal Cheesecake gig I went to (anyone remember them?) They played in absolute darkness save for a screen behind them with loops of weird black-and-white film footage of Stukas, performing dogs and cats, surgery etc. But LOADS of Stukas. Bloody marvelous. We decided to call them Junkies-87 after that gig. It was so quiet between songs (there were only about ten people there) you could hear them muttering to each other on stage. At one point, their sillouettes converged on the drummer as they quietly discussed which song would be next. One voice was heard to say, "Shall we do 'Satan is Real'?" The drummer responded, "No, we just did that".
Nice one, Pelican!

*Thumbs up*

Buzz is going OFF!
:D Yeah! He was REALLY enjoying himself there! Like there's a wasp up his arse.

Thanks guys! It was fun to make. I'll make some more.

I think my favorite part is when Kevin kisses the toilet brush. That show must have been totally insane.

One more I just made. This one is for "See How Pretty, See How Smart". I guess I've been on a Maggot kick lately. I always kind of thought that song was the musical equivelent of a B-52 strike, so I went with that theme. I went with the Stukas on Manky because I thought the noise the song starts with sounded kind of like dive bombers. No more bombers after this, two in a row is just a coincidence.

Stick with the bombers, dude! Or WW2 aircraft carrier landings......don't wanna see people getting killed but old military planes give me the horn.
