AmRep has put the Freak Puke picture discs up for sale tonight! 300 of each design = 1500 total pressed. $30 Get yours while the gettin's good. All the details you need are below...
UPDATE: These have temporarily sold out online. They will be on sale via the dynamic Brian Walsby at the merch booth for the majority of dates for the remainder of the tour. Assuming some will be left over after the tour more will be made available online at a later date. Thus, I would advise against blowing your money on ebay for one of these unless you have no patience whatsoever.
Melvins "Freak Puke" LP (AMREP089) with 5 different picture disc designs by Gary Taxali, Tara McPherson, Skinner, Mackie Osborne & Dave Cooper.
Here's how it works. This LP is a picture disc. There are 5 different artists' art in the run we made and like a pack of baseball cards. YOU DON'T PICK WHICH DESIGN YOU GET.
These are all sealed in a normal 12" LP cardboard sleeve (as pictured). You won't know which design you have until you open it, so... YOU DON'T PICK WHICH DESIGN YOU GET.
The B-side image is the same on all the LPs, it's the LP jacket graphic, as pictured in the lower right on the picture of the collected designs & you guessed it... YOU DON'T PICK WHICH DESIGN YOU GET.
You can only order TWO LPs. That really does mean TWO LPs. If you order more we will dump/refund your ENTIRE order.
VEVO uploaded a pro-shot series of videos from a recent Melvins show, however they didn't post the exact date/location of the performance. Check it out!
Pirate Press posted an image of all the the vinyl variants AmRep is putting out for the 1983 and Bulls & The Bees releases. These are available from the band on their current U.S. tour and will likely be available online in limited quantities at some point in the near future.

PunkNews.org posted a good interview w/ Dale - "Buzz and I always have had a great relationship. We don't get in big fights like The Kinks. But you know, a lot of people just lose their minds. We're trying to lose our minds and that's why we're doing a 51 day tour. We're really trying to crack ourselves. That's what this is all about. We're trying to push ourselves to the limits of insanity."
Pitchfork premiered the new Big Business song Battlefields which is available on their new 7". It should be available on their website eventually, but if you want a copy immediately you may be in luck if you have a chance to check them out on their ongoing ODD MILK WING tour! Incidentally, they're currently touring with my fellow Minneapolitans, Gay Witch Abortion.

The Melvins have been and continue to be relentless in 2012 and will be releasing the 1983 EP in time for their upcoming Melvins Lite 50 states + DC in 51 days tour that is just around the corner. The EP is being released by AmRep and has original Melvins drummer Mike Dillard on drums along with Buzz on guitar and Dale on bass and bagpipes.
Tracklisting:
- Psycho-delic Haze
- Stick em Up Bitch
- Stump Farmers
- Walters Lips
Cheap CD's and Vinyl are being pressed as this is being typed and should be available in time for the U.S. Tour. They've also put the first track, Psycho-delic Haze on the youtube.
Per AmRep: "At 6pm on Friday (7/27) some of the Sugar Daddy 12"s that had been held for box sets went up for sale. If you are holding out for the box set, don't. In a nut shell there are so many projects happening that this is either getting scrapped, or will be done in a very small hand done edition (i.e. manageable). SO this will be your chance to snag one you've missed. I'm sure you all know about the 2 10"s currently in the works (Bulls & 1983) as well new SD 12's (info below), there's also Freak Puke vinyl, and a TON of crazy singles following all that. Something has to get dropped, so... The next 2 Sugar Daddy's have left for the plant. ETA on release soon, but within 4-8 weeks likely. They are with Butthole Surfers and whats called "Midwest Hardcore" which has vintage tracks from each of Necros/Negative Approach/Die Kreuzen, all early tracks."
The Bulls & The Bees vinyl will have letterpress sleeves and is being printed now by Mackie!
Big Business announced their Wild Kingdom US Tour 2012, a few of the dates will coincide with the Melvins U.S. Tour. Additionally the Melvins and Tweak Bird announced that they'll be touring together for the majority of the 51 day Melvins-lite tour.

Today is the day my friends, get out to your local record stores and pick up FREAK PUKE - the new Melvins LITE album from Ipecac Recordings. Melvins Lite is an additional incarnation of the Melvins. The line-up is Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantomas & Tomahawk). “The Melvins have a long history of mixing up our line-ups and I think that’s what has kept us relevant for so long,” explains Buzz. “Consider the Freak Puke record the fifth side of the four-sided Melvins triangle." "We had seen Trevor playing upright bass in a jazz setting and thought that we could utilize that for a recording project," explained Crover. "This is something different from the two drummer/big hair line-up, which we plan on continuing with as well." For a limited time you can stream the entire album at Spinner.

The Melvins will attempt to become the Guinness World Record holders for the first band to tour the full United States and D.C. in 51 days with a tour kicking off Sept. 5 in Anchorage, Alaska and wrapping up Oct. 25 in Honolulu, Hawaii. "We figured it was time for us to do something REALLY crazy," said Osborne. "51 shows in 50 states plus 1 on D.C. and all in 51 days? Jeez! I wonder if we can do it?" The tour, which will feature the Melvins Lite line-up of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and Trevor Dunn, also marks the first time in the band's near 30-year history that they will perform in Alaska, New Hampshire, Delaware and Hawaii. Buzz will be a guest on Fox News' "Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld" on June 28.

The amazing picture discs AmRep has put together for the upcoming art shows in L.A. and New York are going to be available in limited quantities tonight at 6PM Central Time. This will likely sell out quickly as the entire amount obviously won't be put on sale before the art show and the bands will be getting some too to sell at shows etc.
Split 7" picture disc made in conjunction with the "Post-Moral Neanderthal Retardist Pornography" art shows in LA & NYC. 5, count 'em 5, different variant artwork by the likes of Camille Rose Garcia, Shepard Fairey, Junko Mizuno, Chris Mars & Haze-XXL. 2500 total of this release with 500 pressed of each design. First person to complain they are sold out because they didn't read this, we're sending AmRep over to your house to punch you in the throat.
A-side: Melvins- "A Growing Disgust"
B-side: Hammerhead- "Lite Industrial"
Friend to Melvins and Melvins-Fan alike, the prolific Brian Walsby has released his new book, the latest in his series - MANCHILD 6 Check it out!
After finally being suckered into fatherhood with the birth of his daughter Willow, Brian Walsby finally says, “goodbye punk rock, hello ad...ulthood” with the release of MANCHILD 6. Joining the ride is new publisher Will Butler of To Live a Lie Records. Will somehow believed in Brian enough to spend his own money on someone who obviously is out of touch, has betrayed the scene (any scene, take your pick) and has more or less moved on. Or has he?
Despite the nonstop demands of diapers, real life responsibilities and taking the six year old Noble to school most of the time Brian has still somehow found precious time in coming up with new work. Filling out MANCHILD 6 are exclusive interviews straight from Brian’s blog (INTROVERTED LOUDMOUTH) from the last couple of years with lengthy interviews with Richmond’s TANNON PENLAND (LOINCLOTH), Raleigh’s own incredible songwriter KENNY ROBY, The split personality of SCOTT RADINSKY (PULLEY, TEN FOOT POLE, SCARED STRAIGHT) , guitarist for the DESCENDENTS and ALL STEPHEN EGERTON and a lengthy tour diary on the road with MELVINS right before Willow was born. Lots of good reading.
So if you are at all interested in punk rock, fatherhood, MELVINS, potshots at people who deserve it, Mad magazine type satire and all of the other things that Brian Walsby is known for, MANCHILD 6 is a must have and a fine addition to a growing collection of hard work.
On May 21st NBC's 'Last Call w/ Carson Daly' featured a couple more songs from the Melvins show at the Troubadour in L.A. on April 13th.
Spin & The Melvins released a sneak peak, Leon vs. The Revolution, Track 6 from Freak Puke which is due out June 5th.
Secret Serpents posted images and in some cases purchase links of the tour poster series they put together for the Melvins/Unsane tour this spring.

Canadians, your luck has finally turned! Either the petitions worked or The Queen must have been fooled by the slight name inconsistency as Melvins Lite will be touring the north this July! Check the tour dates page for the up to date list of upcoming shows.
NBC posted the video of the Melvins performance of The War on Wisdom on Last Call w/ Carson Daly, someone else happened to do them one better and include the entire appearance which also featured most of The Bit off of Stag.
AmRep will be putting out a 5 artist series of split 7" picture discs with Melvins on one side and Hammerhead on the other. (same songs on each of the five 7"s)
So we'll have 5 different picture disc versions of the same single available at the Post Moral Neanderthal Retardist Pornography art & music show at Subliminal Gallery in L.A.(6/8) and TT Underground in NYC (6/30). AmRep is making a large run too! We showed the Junko Mizuno art, now feast your eyes on Camille Rose Garcia's art for these!!! If we loved Camille any more we'd have to marry her in some weird reverse-Mormon kinda way.
