I'm pretty sure they used a Stylophone on the one you're thinking...same in the KARP song "Pie" 

The omni chord sounds more new age kinda but not sure where I've heard it.

God only knows! The sound of the device itself could easily have been distorted or completely re-styled after playing. It's got me wanting to know now!
