Spaceland 1/28 marks my 47th show.  First at the Anaconda in Santa Barbara with GWAR (92'?).  Seen them in California, Oregon, Washington, Canada, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas.  Muslums go to Mecca, I go to Melvins shows.

Nice.

My first MELVINS show was GWAR also!!

Who played bass during that tour? :-k

There's some Melvins stickers in Hebrew.
I'd like to see a Middle East tour.

the ex has played in ethopia!
But as a continent, there doesn't seem to be a punk ethic there. Lord knows Africans should have something to scream and shout about, but their art generally seems colourful and traditional, even when depicting / singing about the hell that is everyday life for so many. I'm fairly curious about this.

I'd follow Melvins on a Middle East tour for sure. Awesome experience. Africa too, seeing as I haven't been there yet, either.

We need to start a Melvins gang for the Aborigines in Wadeye.  They could beat the Evanescence gang, but I'm not sure about the Slayer gang, they're crazy.

Fantastic!

Melvins with GWAR was with Lorax.  I was high on LSD, but I'm pretty sure the bass player was female.

4 times. The first time was the tour for the Electroretard record, and 3 times in 3 years they were touring the last 3 records.
The show with Rutmanis was by far the wildest, my favorite songs they played in 2009.

It took me 19 years to get to see them. DC, last summer. Awesome, got my ears literally blown out, ended up with double ear infection. No shit. My wife is short, so she didn't get the same bass frequencies that I got. My friends wore professional quality earplugs, and one of them kept fighting with the plugs to even stay in. He said they kept "walking out" of his ear canals. I couldn't hear shit for two days, but I loved every minute of it. After the show, I could only hear high frequencies, everybody sounded like chipmunks, it was really weird.

Call me stupid, I'm okay with that. But I waited 19 years to see them, and I WANTED my face blown off.

And they delivered.

yeah, you're really stupid because you got an ear infection from a melvins show. :)
I never wear plugs to shows. I may try it next time I go.
