can you tell me anything about that 1997 show that might help my terrible memory?
Darn, that was a long time ago. Did they start with Amazing Grace? That rings a bell, somewhere.

I agree that the 2001 show at Mean Fiddler was the best. In fact that's the most amazing gig I've ever been to. Nothing in the future will be as astonishing as that. That's kind of a bummer thinking like that, but I just cant imagine anything coming close. Something magic happened that night.

All your gigs were in London! That's an achievement in itself!
Nope...just makes it look like i hate travelling!

Thay played a gig at the Garage in 1994 with Napalm Death. Why did neither of us go to that?  #-o

I think the Paradise is my favorite place I've ever seen them.  It might just be because the show was so good, but I had a great time there.

I've seen them five times at the Paradise and they have all been great shows.

It was a great venue.  It was one of the 25th anniversary shows I went to and I just loved it.  I had a great view for shooting video from the balcony too.

Thirsty Man

Twice-

1998 At Ozzfest, St. louis. The setlist was three songs. Youth of America for a half an hour (that pissed off a lot of people), The Bloat, and Night Goat.

The second time was in 2008 on the Nude with Boots tour.

Haha I can imagine
I haven't actually seen them live yet, because they hardly ever come to these parts of Canada, unfortunately. That and I'm too broke to go out of town for a concert..... But I'm seeing them for the first time on July 10th!

I have no idea where it's from. I was just browsing the photos my wife's computer looking for an avatar pic and this one seemed appropriate.

I was at the Russell Arms in Camden that night watching a friend play drums for Jesse Hector...were you there too?!!!

Alas I wasn't the show in 1994 at the Garage but that would have been proper mental! Napalm Melvins! How IS the Universe still intact, seriously?! In the Garage? The only explanation for the survival of the human race in a venue that small was that the venue IMPLODED in a blaze of death and vanished into another Universe where it still broadcasts live to this Universe today.

Some day soon, I will begin the mammoth task of finishing off that Ipecac book I've been working on for a while (a slight excerpt was in that post a while back about "Hugh") , but for now, I'm afraid, preparation for a job interview tomorrow!

Goodnight from Europe

Brilliant story, Ian!   And what harm has Ian ever done to Fart that he deserves to be harrassed no matter what he writes, even when it's funny and brilliant as fuck? Digger > Nigger and an Fuck > Shut!
