Quote from: Dumpster D on March 27, 2024, 08:29:35 AMI still remember the first time hearing night goat. Life changing moment basically.

the first time hearing that honeybucket opening riff.   "wait!  wtf was that?"  this is like no riff I have ever heard!   it grabbed me!  and shook me!    eventually that moment became just another drop in the MELVINS MAGIC bucket.

interesting read here about Buzz's favorite MELVINS tracks and their history.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/melvins-buzz-osbourne-my-life-in-10-songs/ar-AA1cvtOr?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=85a060e0273d44148db864e55f3c5f04&ei=22

Also it's Buzz's birthday today..??  pretty sure.   3/25.    Happy B-Day Buzzo!

that latest track is Gary Chester doing his thing at it's finest.  I swear Buzz must have directed him to make Ed Hall noises.

I get this feeling like Buzz is at that point where he's paying hommage.   first with the PAT album featuring Paul and Pinkus and now this.
and I for one am completely onboard considering my festering obsession with Texas 90's drug rock.

Attn glen, go go go

it's neat and all.   but I thought I alread told you people.. I like shows where there's a 50/50 shot I take an elbow to the chin at any given moment.  I don't see that happening at this gig.

but El club Detroit= No way Jose!!  :P

that's what I'm saying.   I am not a fan of El Club and that is entirely based on location.    also the fact that they oversold the last melvins show I attended there and the cops shut it down early.   that was about some bullshit.

but the shelter is a killer venue.   very personal.  the stage is knee height and basically the corner of the room.     this is where the melvins 4x4 tour played in detroit.  ALSO!  the place I was now famously because I bitch about it so much totally screwed over on a melvins show where they cancelled it and got on a bill with SOAD at a ampitheater and I was supposed to get refunded but I never got refunded and it damaged me so much that now I can no longer control my run-on sentences.    but the way I see it this show should be free for me.   in fact I should be on the MF'ing guest list.

OMG buncha pussies out there in the world.      come on!    gain some grit!   its real world, man.

I mean... admittedly El Club (where you were) is probably the in worst example of Detroit area there is.  it's neighborhoods, corner bars and convenience stores.   but it's mostly all ethnic families (mexican town) that live in those houses.   I feel like a rap is being put on here that suffers from major reputation precedal.

This Buzz/Dunn show is at the shelter.  that's the basement of St. Andrew's Hall.   it's right downtown.  safe as your happly little canadian towns.   but with personality.     the venue is legendary both upstairs and down.

now I think it's absolutely crucial that you come.   you need your motown opinion adjusted.

besides.. I'd be thrilled to hang with you again.    think about it.
