Some local press for the show tonight.
Something's missing, though....  :-k

Wow! What a killer show, and I even brought a virgin to sacrifice on the Melvins altar. That's right, I got my drummer buddy in for the hefty price of a beer. He was extremely floored by the whole show, and I'll have a recap of the crazy set by Le Butcherettes in the a.m.

What a lame review! Teri hasn't done any of these things in over 5 years now! She has even
said she stopped all that shit so the band could be taken more seriously for their music.

My review was lame, or the Phoenix New Times preview (that doesn't mention the headliners) is lame?

What happened with Teri and some guy in the audience?

Hey, Kevin! I heard a rumor from a photographer at the show that some jerk was yelling something obscene -like show me your tits or something like that- and she got pissed off, smashed her keyboard and left the stage. I've seen her do that after other gigs so I'm not sure if that was just an added element to her performance or what. Seems like something went terrible wrong, which is a shame. She does not deserve that. If there is any truth to this, what a shit way to end a great tour.

Guy was about five feet behind me. Shouted "hey, show us your dick!" It was dick. I heard it. She took her guitar, smashed her keyboard, got on a dudes shoulders, jumped on the floor, ran over my foot like a wild animal and disappeared. Security started asking around for the offender. Dale showed up. The bandmates headed off the stage. The coward wouldn't speak up. Teri then appeared in a completely different part of the venue and got onstage. She grabbed the mic (from the drum set?) And started shouting some impromptu song about "you wanna see my titties?". It meandered between English and Spanish. She started beating the drums. She sat down and played the drums while continuing. The band didn't know if they should join her. She left the stage. Show over. I think they were playing the last song anyway. I have no idea if any of it was true anger or theatre. Just can't say. She came out in war makeup for donuts and rebel girl, all smiles.

Hey Judy!!!!

!hanks for the quick responses! Yeah that seems like a horrible way to end the tour for her! People who shout stuff like that are usually douche bags who don't understand the art of it all, damn shame. I guess mookes are a part of it all.

Glad to see she came back on stage, she must have been really fired up...that would have been great to see.

I admit that would have been interesting to see her put that energy into the performance. That's one of the reasons why she's such a badass. However, it is sad that we still live in a society where people  think it's OK to objectify a person in such a manner. Not to ballbash here, but that man probably thought of it being acceptable since she's an attractive person conducting a wild performance on stage. Not acceptable, she is a musician doing her job. I'm glad there is still a good percentage of gentleman in this world to realize that that is just not cool.

See description of the band's (former) stage persona from the Phx New Times. This is why I have no use for GWAR. Music should be about music. Not theatrics.

Don't know anything about the guy. Could be any jerk that may or may not have seen that blurb about the opening band (without a mention of the headliner) and wanted to burn $20 to fuck with them.
I am a little shocked that a comment towards a band is an automatic ejection, but at a show that's not a sell out (with no pit) the security staff let a 7 foot tall drunk dude stand next to Pinkus for about 15 seconds. The band stopped to chew him out after he attempted a weak stage dive (he could barely stand). They resumed the song (Moving To Fla) after Buzz did some off the cuff improv in the voice featured in the song. That was hilarious. They were deadass tired, but they soldiered through the bs.

Such a bummer. I've never understood that approach in the first place. "Hey show us your tits (I guess dick in this case)!!!" "Oh you wanna see my tits? Okay, Hey band, stop playing, this guy wants to see my tits" Bandmates- "Oh yeah sure! Sorry about that". She shows everybody her tits(dick :?) and the guy who yelled for it comes and throws her over his shoulders and carries her out while the audience applauds to their new found love.
I'm glad she turned that energy into her performance but I just hate idiots who do that shit. I think it's awesome that Dale came out looking to give an ass whoopin'. I could tell at the Bash that they seemed like big brothers in the sense that they would do just about anything for her. I do love seeing bands that tour together have a good time while doing it and in the end make dear friends. Seeing a show where the bands don't really hit it off with each other can make a huge difference than a show where all the bands have mutual admiration and are fully enjoying themselves.
It would've been great if Teri pulled a Donita Sparks on the guy!
