I've got two, but I don't know how to transfer the to the Youtubes.  I'll be making dvd's of them in a few weeks, after I move.

drop me a line if you are interested in a trade at all.

Melvins Discussion / Re: Melvins live @ 40 Watt videos!

there were quite a number of tapers at that show - there were three individual mic stands rolling.  One was directly FOB, the other was about 10ft in front of the FOB, and the third was back of hall, FOS-right.

"seas of luck" - drop me a PM if you can offer up what was filmed in DVD quality.

Melvins Discussion / Re: Melvins/Walsby Book/CD update

what fun it was to read back through the small mention of the Chattanooga show - being in the balcony, I got the full view of the Ron-goose-step-kick-out scene - funny stuff.  Walsby drew some really funny posters the next evening in Knox-vegas dedicated to Ron, but decided to keep them at the time (was going to buy one of them).  oh well.

Melvins Discussion / Re: setlist wishes
September 14, 2007, 06:15:20 PM
well, let us see...from what they have been doing until now, i figure them to play at least the following:

would love to see as the opener while adding the melvins (but prbly not)
lovely butterfly (figure they will mix up the changing of the bands song)
talking horse (it is the "single")
bloated pope (fits really good after TH)
lizzy (perhaps)
civilized worm (could do w/o, but they seem to like playing it quite a bit)
suicide in progress (new song that was not played on the US tour last time)
sky pup (blah)
let it all be (as much as i am tired of hearing this, i can't imagine them not doing it)
2-3 shorter songs from aSA here
a history of bad men (one of the best songs from aSA)
the mechanical bride (another one they didn't play on the US tour last time - good chance we will get it this time)
night goat (to replace the bit or, if we are lucky, we get both)
ballad of dwight fry (again, not played on last US tour)

now, that makes for a bit of a short setlist but are songs i feel sure they will play.  i am hoping they drop a quite a few of the aSA tunes from this leg.  with it being just BB and The Melvins, i hope they put on a longer set than ~70mins and go for the 90 min mark, which would put BB at about 2hr 15min for stage time (quite a bit to do night after night).

additions that i would prefer to see:

joan of arc
at the stake
blessened
the bloat
#2 pencil
hag me
youth of america
at a crawl
june bug
but, above all others....
Manky

thats a good route for any of those within a 300 mile radius.(sorry beto.)

a little more than 300 for me but i'll probably still be there.  maybe knoxville as well.   :-k

see you in Knoxville if you make it - another taper/filmer buddy and myself will be there unless something comes up.

if you guys want to get around the ticketmaster gouging, buy your tix at grimey's record shop. now i don't know if they do mailing or whatever, but i'll go in there and pay cash. its a two dollar fee but its better than paying for free parking.

thanks for the info.  last time we just walked in about 2hrs before the show as the other taper has friends at Blue Cats that gets him in.  got setup and talked to the bands a while before doors opened.  hopefully this will happen again!

2002 - bad memory show for me.  had the brains of the place moshing right in front me as i was trying to record.  one decided he didn't like me and my friend and decided to continually ram us - yes, on purpose.  finally waited until he came full force w/his back to me and elbowed the bastard in the back of the neck.  he jumps yet, gets in my face, and the arm of a security guy grabs his head and tosses him.  shows was nice after that.

nah, but i do save up to follow bands around for a week at a time - getting a good job after college helps.  i always tape the shows, so i usually don't get bored that much - there are always highlights after the 1st couple of nights to look forward also.  tickets will not be as bad as gas/hotels.  luckily i live in Chattanooga and 4 of those shows are only 2hr drives each way.

loved Tool in 01-02.  saw them once this year (took my sis for her b-day), but wouldn't spend the $ for them again.
