Yeah, and while they're at it how about a handmade/ltd Mackie-art wooden box to store the singles in, and they could throw in a H.A.T. T-shirt for those of us who have had those 7"s all these years.
That would be great, I could buy only one of those singles many years ago ( the Foaming/Arnie/White Punks on Dope record) so I downloaded them from Soulseek.

I personally can't see the point in the band reissuing HAT with the B-sides included, but i think it would be nice if Ipecac put out the tracks on their own as a release. Or even just put them up as a compilation on the Melvins bandcamp or something.

They *were* on youtube last time I checked, but you had to search the tracks by name to find them.

H.A.T. is my favorite Melvins album period. Part of the problem with that album is that it's so phenomenal and unique to that lineup w/ Rutmanis, that a lot of the songs might sound stupid now w/ a different bassist. I like Steve & Pinkus just fine, but honestly most of those songs would be supbar if Melvins played em today w/out Kevin.

Buzz, Ipecac, Haze or whoever, if you're listening... 2020 Hostile Ambient Sausages on CD. I will buy it at $200. Do it MLVNSvsMPLS style. Make it for a good cause, even if that cause is the Melvins. Maybe do bundles with the Mackie book(s) we wanted from the art show.
These songs are out there. And they're killer. Jerkin Krokus in a way is the most Melvins cover ever. These are great renditions of great songs recorded and mixed with great execution.
You earn $0.00 from bootlegs. I refuse to buy bootlegs anymore but most people have little scruples for music that is so good that they feel entitled to it. Let this stuff out of the vault or find a new way to get these songs into the world. A download code on a piece of roof tile. An etched stick from nearby. Bandcamp flac a bandana and a banana flack jacket. Whatever it is.
I own these songs (finally) but I still listen to them on YouTube or CD-r like probably a majority of people do. Both HAT and clown series covers seem to come from a very fertile creative peak in the Melvins history.
I guess even CDs are getting rare now. Fuck, I'd buy it on DVD and BluRay even if it was just a slideshow. Use these as the soundtrack to a photography set. Whatever it is.

Yeah, those 4 seconds felt like an eternity with a million different thoughts going through my head. I thought about letting it ride and selling the second set for straight price but then I worried about that very thing and didn't want to miss out all together. I somehow dumped one from my cart but of course it was already sold out at check out. Tried for the Psycho but sold out. Grabbed the Brains right before it sold out. These new 10" boxes they're using are the dog's bollocks. They're lighter (good for the shipper) and just as protective as the 12" mailers they used to use (good for the shipper and us).

Before I even listened to it, I put the Besides CD and the H.A.T. Ipecac CD along w/ the original sleeve/inlay card together into a clear slimline double-CD case. Seems appropriate and convenient. The new H.A.B. sleeve can go on a wall or something.

I also got line in the mail already. Really great to hear this on my stereo. "Jerkin Krokus" and "Promise Me" and "White Punks" are so goddamn solid. This is such a great release. I love the pacing.
"Arny" is jarring. I'm not sure if it's just DIY mastering. I didn't notice a glitch in "Today Your Life" but it's already more like T.Y.L.T.T.W. x3

How much did these go for?
Reminder: The Hat Besides Picture Disc uses a PVC sleeve- take the disc out of the PVC sleeve and put it in a normal record sleeve to prevent it from becoming hazy over time, due to outgassing.

I ordered a bunch of $5 CDs. It was about 7.50pm Australian ESDT time. That equates to about 3.50am in Minneapolis. I got a shipping confirmation about 3min after placing my order (Thanks Rob). Then when I got up the next morning I had received a small refund as the shipping had calculated wrong. I can't think of any label or distributor that has done that.

First class shipping to Australia from the U.S. is brutal - an 8 ounce package costs $17.25 to send, and a 12 ounce package is $27.75. US dollars. Might be worth ordering a bunch of things at one time, or finding someone else in Australia to split costs with.
I ordered 6 cds. It's really the only way to make it worth your while or yes, 1 CD and then triple the cost in shipping. I try to add them to orders when the vinyl comes up, but with wanting the Mullet cd I didn't want to chance not getting the vinyl, so I just collected a few up. I had been sitting on the Cherubs and Cows, so pooled them in. I mean for the cost of the CD, you can go nuts. Try to look at it the other way. The shipping is the CD. We get overcharged at JB etc anyway. But yeah do it in bulk.
Thanks guys I guess I'll keep trying hoping one day the shipping costs come down enough to make it viable for me.

Was watching Bills/Seahawks, Bills had a safe lead, so I figured I'd look online to see what was new at Shoxop today. Wasn't interested in the Mackie E-tard, but there it was - the H.A.B. pic disc again. Grabbed it, no problem. Will be cool to have both the individual Ipecac 7"ers, and the b-sides on the pic disc. They are still my favorite set of Melvins covers, though the recent collabs w/ Cisneros, Mudhoney & Flipper come close.
