Title: Dale Crover solo 7"
Post by: Idlehanz on July 23, 2014, 12:54:37 PM
"United Fruit" coming at the end of August. Lou Barlow, Rutmanis, and Toshi play on it as well.

I have a guess, but I'm not going to speculate until it's actually announced.

I'm thinking this won't be anything like Drumb.

Here's Thomas Hazelmyer working on a linoleum cut for the new Dale Crover solo 7", "United Fruit"! Comes out the end of August. I enlisted Lou Barlow, Kevin Rutmanis for bass, and Toshi Kasai was at the controls and played keyboard! More info soon!

aye! Here are some examples of Dale playing on Lou's album-Goodnight Unknown. It's not really something where Dale let's it all out, but they do collaborate on Lou's Dinosaur Jr songs (2 per album). He meets with Dale (they both live in SoCal) and they work out how his songs will go and record demos of the songs. Then he takes them to J and Murph in Massachussetts, and they re-record them as Dinosaur Jr.

I got the single a couple days ago (United Fruit). It's great, and I love the b-side, "Dead Or Alive".
I did however, totally forget that I forked over $28 w/ shipping.

On the other hand, I just ordered the Altamont-Mrs Creech single from Secret Serpents.
$10, w/ shipping. Got it in about one business day. Totally kickass service, Swampy!  =D>
It's also a pretty bizarre song, with a classic rock-type b-side (BOC's Transmaniacon MC).

I can't wait to get all of these tunes on one cassette!  :excited:

Human error, which in this case fits perfectly into AmRep's retardist philosophy. It happened with the Melvins/Seawhores split and the Melvins/Butthole Surfers split, too. This is why I love DIY. Alternative Tentacles did it with their first ever Virus release (and at least one more since then) - I have a Fresh Fruit LP and a California Uber Alles 7", both with the catalogue number Virus 1.
